Gnome es open source. And even though it's not perfect, I have 20 people using it on a daily basis at the office with no complaints. I think that it makes absolutely no sense to project open office on all open source.
I do not see how MS buying AOL stock is going to change ANYTHING at all in the Mozilla Foundation. They are self-sufficient, independent and have been since at least the start of FireFox. I think there are more programmers working in google then in AOL.

Yes, he has been claiming this, altough the main page does kinda say:
"Finally! A complete Web Authoring System for Linux Desktop users as well as Microsoft Windows and Macintosh users to rival programs like FrontPage and Dreamweaver"
Still, just to be able to OPEN a PHP file in linux would be a very big step forward.
Now, if only Glazman would give up fighting against PHP and make is useable enough for us web developers. (You can't open PHP files in Linux unless you do it VIA FTP or you stand on your left foot while holding your nose) Although for those who still only develope plain HTML it's a great app.
I think the day Google doesn't have a certain secrecy around them, they will loose a lot of their appeal.
Well, considering there are more and more new computers being shipped with Linux, and how far away Vista's release is, maybe this isn't 100% accurate.
