People will talk on a cellphone without regard to their "real life" companion... sometimes I feel as if I'm not really there when someone gets involved in a conversation.
Definitely...
This is the same reason talking on the cellphone is dangerous when driving.
For some reason I have not yet identified, talking on the cellphone distracts a person from their immediate surroundings. Even if that immediate surrounding is operating heavy/dangerous machinery.
If we're lucky, they will all Darwinize themselves. Unfortunately, they make take some of the "others" with them...
"...but all your customers are happier in the long run..."
Ahh, but that brings us back to Customer Service and we all know that is a term that corporations and business in general no longer care for or understand.
Bullshit...
Notice in the lead-in: "'Site Finder was not controversial with users' says VeriSign's Tom Galvin".
In other words, Verisign is not concerned with the complaints of knowledgable users. The general class of lusers doesn't know/care and, therefore, Verisign perceives they should be allowed to do what they want.
Unfortunately, this is as expected from them...
Let's not forget that ME was released with one and only one purpose: convince the Home and Home Office user to drop "Personal" Windows and install "Business" Windows.
Part of an overall plan to get all Windows installations on the same kernel.
Main problem was that Win2K wasn't ready soon enough to allow the pissed-off ME users to make the switch. Hence, XP...

Wrong!!
SALES is telling someone to go to hell and making them look forward to the trip.
DIPLOMACY is convincing someone that doesn't want to go to hell that they need to go anyway.

What IS wrong is communicating in language that is ambiguous and can possibly give a wrong impression.
