The iPod mini is 3.6 by 2.0 by 0.5 inches
The iPod 15GB and 20GB is 4.1 by 2.4 by 0.62 inches
The iPod 40GB is 4.1 by 2.4 by 0.73 inches
The D-cube is 88 by 48 by 19 mm (3.46 by 1.88 by 0.74 inches) using the conversion chart
So, the DCube is smaller in height and width compared to the mini although almost as thick as the 40GB iPod.
If you look at the OSes used to access Google (which is a good indicator of total OSes used), Win98 is listed at the top with 27%. And with Microsoft extending support, it creates a speedbump.
There are some puzzles and there are surprises One unexpected finding was the Moessbauer spectrometer's detection of a mineral called olivine, which does not survive weathering well
It doesn't survive weathering well in Earth like conditions. Mars, on the other hand, has extreme and totally different climate conditions and it should not be a surprise that minerals exhibit different properties.
Even though SCO's stock has had one hell of a run, and (overwhelming) majority of us believe that their campaign is a fluff, nasdaq's risk analysis tools rates it almost alongside Redhat's stock.
SCOX grade is at 369 and RHAT is at 356.
For reference, Nasdaq is 86 and S&P500 is 52
Higher the number, greater the risk.
SCOX Risk RHAT Risk
So, either these analysts are smoking crack or maybe I am just a dumbass when it comes to stocks. The later is a likely possibility!
Google kicks everybody else's a$$ at one thing: Search results. Now when everyone else is getting more serious about search, (Yahoo buying Overture, Microsoft announcing Search R&D), Google announces Google mail. I am not sure if this is the way to go.
Lately, (and I'm sure lot of you have noticed) Google's search results have been a little more oriented towards commercial sites. Not good. They should apply the KISS principle.
I love Google (like billion other people) and it will be sad if going public and eventually catering to stockholders starts a downward spiral.

They told us that navigation system is for navigation. And then, its tracking the cars, speeding tickets.
They told us cookies is just to make the stateless HTTP protocol have some states. And then, its Double Click and all the tracking.
They told us at the grocery store that the card will be used to get discounts. And then, you start getting those annoying mail related to products you bought.
Hello marketing fellas out there, PLEASE stop. Consumer is getting upset.
There is probably no good way of doing this at the company dinner. The size (50-80) makes it even more difficult as probably everybody will know (recognize) everybody else. You do not want to be the whistle blower of any kind. Sort of a catch-22 if you will.
A better way that I've seen happen at my place is an anonymous ballot kind of thing. If the executives are interested, they will read the ballot. If not, well, then you live and learn.
Similar to the car warranties, x number of miles or y number of years, whichever comes first, there are places where the broadband is not that prevalent (like India) and the ISP contracts are usually similar to x number of MB or y number of hours whichever come first. These ads would suck up on x number of MB.
Also, this download would probably piss the broadband ISPs off too.
I just right clicked and set it as the wallpaper. (Alright. I use WinXP at work). It makes an awesome wallpaper. And perfectly fits the entire desktop too. Pretty cool.
Damn all of you quick fingered bastards typing out those 69 jokes in a jiffy. I thought I might be the first one to notice. Not even close. Damn all of you. No Funny for me. Damn all of you again.
so that anybody who feels like removing the controls can do so, and recompile.
Dude, seriously, if that is your definition of anybody, then... you've been reading slashdot too much:D
People have been fighting over microsoft using IE as default online shopping link browser and you are talking recompiling to remove controls?
Why would anyone want a one-handed keyboard? Oh... hang on...
So you can type in with one hand in that special chat room...
Oh... wait...
I've seen shit that will melt your eyes ;)
Vow. That must've been awesome. Sorry about the melted eyes though
Aircraft noise was the motivation behind Dr. Amar Bose, founder of Bose, to start thinking about noise reducing headphones and the rest is history.

whether the person they are talking to is telling a lie. Not only that, they can tell you whether someone loves you!
I stood in front of the mirror wearing it. It exploded with "I love you" and "Its a lie" conflict!

In the age of Internet, one thing we have definitely learned is that anything will be circumvented. I am thinking that this will be no different.
Teaching (instead of just telling) people how to supervise their kids might be a good idea too.

IANASA but 2,000 people, mostly students - hardly seems a worthwhile sample when trying to describe a population base of 290 million people

So, P2P no longer means Porn 2 People. Sigh
P2P networks could (if they wanted to) use "fingerprinting"
:D
That would give fingerprinting a whole new meaning
