if you got a pro license, try downloading the vlk edition of xp pro and use it instead (and get MSKey4in1 to make your keys). You already purchased xp pro, so getting the vlk edition, at least in my opinion for use without activation, has zero ethical issues.
if it is such an ethical issue to use a different edition of xp pro then you're deeper in the thought prison of these proprietary companies idea of EULAs and shit.
Sometimes steam isn't fully operational and it can ruin some people's fun. Those who have the CD but use Dialup may be forced to 'update' via steam when they sign on to authenticate (ouch >.).
Sometimes HL2 won't work in offline mode forcing someone to authenticate. Very inconvenient when trying to packetsniff a WEP encrypted network (with no unprotected nearby) and wanna pass the time away.
And i hope we reach this 'point' because when nothing happens, it will back fire into the globalist control freaks faces and the enviromentalist henchmen working for them.:D
