    Acually, the debug command jumps to a point in memory that contains a low-level formatting program. I want to say the command is
    - g 3555
    but something about that sounds wrong.

    gmake -f client.mk build

    And when I do that (with CVSupped source), mozilla compiles, does it loading thing, and seg faults.

    Did you even READ the article? A shipping clerk changed the addressing label on the package, sending it to New York instead of Redmond. The clerk thought it was an ordinary WebTV and that nobody would miss it.

    How about this: There are four Windows NT Terminal Server w/ MetaFrame that have to rebooted nightly, otherwise they slow down to the point of unusability.

    It depends on the unit. Some that I have seen use the Print Screen key to bring up the menu. It varies from box to box. And yes, the menu/onscreen display (it puts the server's name in transluecent text in the upper left) is quite handy.

    AN admins worst fear is NOT zombies, it is an uber-luser with the root/admin/supervisor password. Imagine the horror: "Since Nick isn't here, I'll just install SP6 for him" or "This QSECOFR person hasn't changed their password for a long time, I'd better disable their account!".

    Because your ISP uses a digital line (T1 or ISDN BRI) to serve your internet connection. They do not have banks of modems, unless it is a very old or very clueless ISP.

    Ahem. All modern (486+) Compaqs use standard memory, but I remeber the Deskpro 386 had a really wierd memory card/module that looked somewhat like an ISA board, but used an extented connector.

    You can get a utility from Symantec called "Ghost Walker" that will change the machines SID and name from a batch script.

    I have found that the built-in backup utility, DISMOUNT, is a quick and easy way to insure that no data is lost due to user and OS mistakes. The system backup utility, DOWN is an even faster way to insure complete data integrity.

    Nope. The apps are java files that are downloaded at run time, or can be saved into the flash ram. JavaStations have a 100Mhz microSparc chip.

    The JavaStations are pseudo-thin-clients.
