I want to be able to download Wikipedia. Obviously this would rape the Wikipedia servers but they could do a monthly release via bit torrent. I think this would be really useful and they could even sell copies of it on DVD.
So someone did a survey of 100 websites and ten didn't work with Firefox. That doesn't mean that 10% of all UK websites don't work in Firefox does it? If I look out the window and see 3 blue cars and 2 red cars does that mean that 60% of cars are blue?
From a purely business perspective, how on Earth are Amazon able to afford this?
Maybe if you had a look at their Quarterly Results then you might know? But then again this is Slashdot and so nobody actually bothers to research their posts.

I would say more modern PCs ship with floppy drives then plain old CD drives. Nearly every PC ships with at least a DVD drive or a CD-RW.
