Like many officers? Police cruisers already have cameras, and we're already seen cases where the camera is disabled by the officer because they don't think bureaucrats with no experience have the right to judge them. I'm all for these body cams, but don't expect it to be received with open arms or to change behavior overnight. I suspect if this passes there is going to be a spike in google searches for "how to secretly disable camera and make it looks like equipment failure".
And until it does reach the public for real, expect a flood of scams citing this as proof their quick test works. Just send a drop of blood and $10,000 and get your cancer test results in a couple days! The sooner the real thing goes through trials the better. Assuming it does lead to a legitimate test, that is.
I wonder if the homeopaths are going to twist this into a cure? Dilute UV light in water, instant all cancer cure. At least it would be a step up from the usual bottled water they sell. This stuff would atleast be UV sanitized.
And this is how bush got away with so much. They cultivated an image of him being a frat boy idiot so the general populace would shrug things off as "oh he's too stupid to know what he's doing". Which is a horrible thing to accept from a president, but apparently it worked.
It would not surprise me if that image comparing faces bush made to faces monkeys make was created by his PR team.
Yeah, you're right, a child's death by starvation and abuse is such a downer and should be forgotten as quickly as possible. That money would do much more good for the world if used to create more cute cat videos and pictures for the internet.
Not like any good ever comes of reminding people child abuse happens and kills. And even if it did, there's no way an interesting statue could possibly generate attention and remind people of the incident for decades to come.
Being the effective owners of said parking spots, the city has the right to determine who can use the public spots, not some phone app. Just as they can mark whole stretches of street as no parking or parking with time limits or other rules.
If the app makers believe they have the legal right to continue operating they can sue to force the city to allow use of their app.

How do they know you're not driving your family to the airport for a fee? Or yourself for that matter. Obviously they can't take your word for it, you could be in collusion with yourself in a conspiracy to defraud the airport and cab drivers.
No, best thing to do is make it completely illegal for someone to drive to the airport or anywhere within a 4 hour walking distance without a commercial license.
Dear dog I hope not. If this makes the immune system forget allergies then it also forgets all the thousands of strains of bacteria and virus you have been exposed to. All your immunizations, chicken pox, colds, flu, mono, ect... A newborn would have a better immune system than a clean slate.
Plus you would have a much greater chance of becoming allergic to new stuff. Would suck to get rid of a minor hayfever just to become allergic to all nuts.
The DS and its redesigns (DSlite and DSi) sold over 270 million units in 7 years before being succeeded by the 3DS, while the PSP and its redesigns sold 80 million in 10 years.
No contest there, EA and the like didn't want to waste their time on a relatively tiny userbase. Piracy is just a handy scapegoat for both lawmakers and sony. Mainly they just didn't want to piss sony off by making it public they think the PSP is a failure not worth developing for.
Same age as her and that was the year we got an apple IIe from a fire sale (literal, some kids tried to end school forever), cleaned it up, and upgraded from the C-64.
I'd have to agree with that 95% part. Given the opportunity any kids can learn the basics of a command line interface once they start to learn to read, and earlier with a GUI. My 6 year old loves playing on computers. Heck my 18 month has figured out how to unlock my phone and loves seeing the screen change when she pushes buttons. That's a fascination that will bloom into true geekdom as she grows.
