    Okay... so there is a serious point about "difficult to use" software, but then on the other hand, there are a shitload of people who with a bit of education wouldnt have a problem with it. How many people still swear about the good old days of Wordperfect 5.1?

    Not all users are stupid. Some are just uneducated.

    True, but there are steps you can take to minimize bugs. There are ways to check programs for out-of-bounds conditions. There are ways of fixing exploits relatively quickly. (And I mean weeks instead of months). There are ways of releasing "work arounds" instead of fixes.

    True, the above may no produce the fastest code, but shit.. we are talking about Windows here. You want it to run faster? Buy a bigger computer.

    Don't under estimate the power of wood!

    Yeah.. shiny metal racks are nice and all, but once I filled mine up I didnt feel like sacrificing the space for another one.

    So my dad and I sat down with a six pack and built a 20-odd unit rack out of scrap timber. Essentially its nothing more than a box with reinfornced cornes (for stability), and a couple of wooden strips down the front. Thus you can mount your gear using self-tapping wood screws.

    I also managed to pick up (dumpster diving) some angle bracket with threaded holes at the Rack Unit spacing... obviously something taken out of a once working rack. This we turned into rack using 3/4 inch square-X-section steel tubing. (Angle grinders rock. Use safety googles.)

    Total cost. I reckon less than US$50.. and half of that was for beer.

    To lazy to Google... but is there a project to install linux on Cisco routers? I know that most cisco platforms use different CPUs, but I don't know much about cross-compiling OSs as to how difficult the 2500 version would be to port to a 2600 (for example).

    And, given the price of old cisco hardware, man.. you could like... run a router on it or something.

    In all seriousness... give a Cisco Router some real firewalling power, or make a Snort box.

    I just have one word to say to all the people who cant find good music:

    MEXICO.

    Im not kidding. The stuff thats coming out the Mexican music scene kicks. They dont seems to be forcibly catagorized as US artists are.

    Of course, it helps to speak Spanish, but I know many fans who dont.

    Couple of places to start: Molotov, Control Machete, Cafe Tacuba. Emphasis on the last one, though they may appeal more to people with a more formal musical background.
