There were some seriously yummy chicks in that movie, but I can't find it anymore.

Of course, now I'm going to have to buy Ed's movie and see just how much Wood it produces.

Congratulations, Paul Bunyan. Yes, you can "survive," and be moderately comfortable. I went from my air-conditioned dorm in New York to living in Mississippi for a week in the middle of summer with no A/C and I adjusted in a matter of a day.

You can bet your ass that I *noticed* the difference later when I got back, though.

And let's see how well you'd tolerate the temperature variance in a sealed-up office building with the air circ. fans turned off. 90 degrees. How's that feel, bucko?

    Stop trolling and think.

We are moving more and more rapidly toward a post-intellectual property society. There are going to be lots of people who don't like it, but the fact remains that it's coming and no amount of legislation is going to fix it.

... that there's been a lot of talk about "plugging the analog hole" in recent years. RIAA and its associated cronies have been talking about how they'd like every bit of the playback chain - from the sound card to the speakers - to be DRM digital.

Now, you and I understand that at *some* point the signal has to be turned into analog so that it can drive the coils in the speakers, but the average Joe is not going to take apart their speakers and hook up leads to the wires so that he can record into his sound card to an un-DRM-encumbered format with them.

My personal definition of "chick car" goes back and forth, really. If I can smoke some guido asshole in his blinged-out 4-cylinder Accord with my Mini Cooper-S, that's gonna make me *very* satisfied with my choice of automobile.

How do you define "chick car?" With respect to the Smart cars, I could definitely see driving a Forfour around the city (I live in NYC) and being able to park it nearly anywhere there's a gap between cars. Just the fact that it looks so radically different from other cars is enough for me.

In fact, we typically just dig a nice hole and plant them (legs-first, of course) directly into the soil, then tamp it down a bit to keep them secure. Hell, the media format sounds like it might be something like SD. Maybe they'll shock the hell out of us and make it SD for real (or something that's form-compatible with it, and let you browse digital camera SD cards with a simple file browser or something).
