Ah...the Slashdot effect has done some good. How can the virus expect to download anything from 78p.com if a massive ammount of/.'ers are accessing it?
It is his problem he doesn't use the internet, and to defend myself, it's true, many users of other window managers have not heard of programs designed for different WMs, however he is dumb for not using Google or freshmeat. I was simply pointing out that he was't stupid. However, the real question is why the Slashdot newsposters thought it was newsworthy.
Not everyone uses KDE, so why would everyone know about it? Sure you can run it under other window managers, but most KDE users have never heard of lots of Gnome utils, and many Fluxbox users don't use those type of GUI utils anyway.
I read about this a couple weeks ago. What took it so long to appear on Slashdot? (maybe I should have submitted it:P)
Anyhow, an improvement over Google Groups, but I almost LIKE the older, lighter version.
How can any company possibly function, let alone open source when almost everything will be patented after this? The EU does not seem to know much about the decisions it makes...
Kinda sad how something worth so much (both physically and in the revenue it generates) could be stolen so easily...sounds like my $15 a month virtual hosting is probably in a more secure data center...
And by the way guys...I have access to a DS3...they really ARE fast...
Here outside of Washington, DC, we get about 6 channels via cable (they cost like $20 extra though), and about 3 over broadcast...wish I had enough $$ for a HDTV though...
Yes, it is more of the streams problem in quality then your own, the actual ripping programs are quite advanced. Many streams on the net are at 128kbps or less, unless you get some rarer indie streams.

Yahoo sprinkles? Yahoo sprinkles!? What are these and where can I get some?!?

There is actually another audio file that no one seems to have noticed yet: http://ilovebees.com/queen-piping.wav
What are you kidding? Nothing can beat that game...hehe.
Tell that to the P-P-P-Powerbook scammer.
Indeed. Read RFC 2606

Ah....let the crazies (that is: uber-Trekkies -- is that a word? should be) make a Star Trek, and what do you know! It's better than "Enterprise"!
Exactly, the real question is how far they will go, I am afraid they will go too far.

I have tried playing with a couple stream rippers before, only problem is streams tend to be real low quality...
VIA has removed all traces of the VIA Padlock SL application as of about 9:00am EST today. Interesting.
With the way Americans love free stuff that would probably be a success. The philosophy is "if it's free, I must have it!"
This must be a pretty poor quality server...it lasted 10 minutes before it stopped responding...
