If you are really free-flowing and if there is no easy remedy available and if your buddy does not have an octopus or an independent set of first and second stages, you do not want to ascend too fast. You want to close the valve and only open it when you actually need to breathe. Going up _slowly_ is all the more important in an emergency.
Unless you are using a full-face mask or a rebreather, you can not do much more than scream vowels at each other. Talking through your normal two-piece regulator is a nice dream for the movies, but not more.
And no, you do not need to be able to breathe from a free-flowing regulator to get certified, only PADI wants you to do that. The other agencies teach you that taking two independent regulators with you is the way to go when you go cold, deep or into restricted environments is the way to go. Which, quite frankly, I prefer. (Not saying that being able to breathe from a free-flowing regulator is not useful, but between your buddy and you, you should have _four_ independent systems along with you, so total failure is very, very unlikely..)
Because every computer out there has an USB port. Even the 10+ year old laptop I use for photo backup & resizing while on the road. And if the thing needs to run the whole night to grab & resize, I don't care. That's when I am sleeping, anyway.
Did you try to contact Robert Knight about this? He is the one maintaining Konsole, after all. While I would not want to use Alt-n to switch tabs, I don't see why this could not be an option. Alternatively, try to propose pressing Alt, then n. That would fit in well with current Konsole behaviour, i.e. using Alt a bit like Esc in VIM.
The videos are available. No idea what codec Eidos used to release them, though. But now that the data is there, this should be a minor matter. I myself watched the intro video with mplayer, so it is out there in a usable format.
I _know_. Which is why I said it is _my_ opinion as well as stating that I am in no way qualified to venture an educated guess. We are basically agreeing with both of you not realizing this:p
Reiser's attorney flat out denied that he had Aspberger's, and Reiser never once raised any sort of mental illness defense.
True. Yet, he did make errors due to what I perceived as vanity.
Furthermore, his speech skills were fine, he is actually very articulate. I find it hard to believe that he had any sort of autism-related mental illness.
If you read his emails to LKML and others, you can see a clear lack of social skills. This is not proof that he has asperger's, of course. Yet, I have been convinced for year's that he does, in fact, suffer from at least a mild form of it. I am not a doctor and I never met him (probably true for you, as well), of course.
All in all, I had the same gut feeling your grandparent had. Knowing a lot of geeks and nerds, the murder book theory makes sense. So does driving without a front passenger seat, provided you drive alone most of the time. So does evading a tailing police car.
Other things like the _disapperance_ of said seat, the blood stains and, above all, his showing up to pick up his kids when it was not his turn (which also makes sense in a world of cold logic) told a different story, though. And, much as I hated to see one of the tribe (even though ReiserFS hates me and I hate it) being prosecuted, I was more and more convinced he was guilty.
I am aware this will probably blow some karma, but seeing as the relevant bits & pieces have been pointed out by others I can ask the question that really concerns me..
akutz: Please tell me, are you
1) a troll 2) trying to be funny 3) suffering under an extreme form of hypochondria, if yes are you undergoing treatment 4) stupid
How do you suppose people survived the icky influenza virus for the last few thousand years? You know, ever since His Noodliness created pirates? Yesterday, I receive a screenshot of Yahoo Answers (question was deleted, else I would link) from a guy who is worried about his girlfriend being pregnant and not getting her period ever since. Today, timothy lets you out of the cage.
Not to discount the effort that went into this, it looks like a fun thing to code.
Still, Konqueror has web shortcuts. gg: is a google search, ggi: an image search, wp: a wikipedia search etc etc etc. There is a load of preexisting ones and you can add more yourself.
You lose neither the economy nor the performance if you know how & when to shift gears. And as you know when you want to change gears earlier a split second before you are able to depress the acceleration paddle far enough for the car to realize, I would argue you win even more performance.
This is because no one wants you to just mod something 'wrong'. Either reply to it with a well-phrased counter-argument or don't. But just saying 'no' and walking by is not considered good style in most discussions.
I walk through the eating room, lick my hand and touch every sandwich there is, yelling 'Mine!'.
A company that has a business which is based on generating as many patents as possible in the hope of others doing actual work and 'infringing' by chance is the perfect example of what the patent system was never supposed to be.
Apart from the fact that you will _never_ be able to secure access from an unsecured machine, just change your passwords. Write down the passwords with the usual methods if need be. If you are really paranoid, have a cron change the passwords from your home machine on a daily basis using permutations of what you wrote down. Once you are back, you change the passwords to whatever they were before.
Embrace the semicolon! Don't overdo it of course, but that goes for most things in life!
You meant "Don't overdo it of course; that goes for most things in life", I presume?
Yes, the slag grains in the steel were too large. And yes, the steel of the plates was also not that great.
But that was almost 100 years in the past!
In case you did not notice, there have been a few improvements, since then. They wouldn't even refill my horses at the gas station!
Guess why they needed a blacksmith to recreate that steel? Because the cheapest and worst steel you can buy today surpasses the quality of everything they had back then. By far.
All in all, the rivets are just part of the cause, though. Not the cause of the sinking, but the cause of the many deaths (even though this is not the largest desaster at sea, contrary to common belief.)
The protection against water rushing through the hull was inadequate. They did not have binoculars as the guy who had the key to the locker was replaced in the last instant. They followed standard procedure against icebergs back then: Full speed to get out there fast (yes, that is fact). Their radio operator cussed at the only operator on the nearest ship prior to the accident, prompting the other one to go to bed. They only had white flares on board, red ones being the ones for emergencies, white for celebrations. Other ships _saw_ the flares and assumed it was a party. They did not have enough boats and life-vests. And, and, and.
All in all, this is a huge story of arrogance and the fact that, all in all, we are pretty powerless if a large thing decides to hit us.
But, and let me stress this, this is not news!
So can we please not hear this 'story' again and again?
Thanks.

Or they have the same cause. Or one removes an inhibitor for the other. Or, or, or. Reducing the possible explanations for correlation to three is simply not possible.

Name them and then get a different hoster asap.

No, but the chances of detection are still better with FLOSS.

True. Yet, knowing several people affected by asperger's, that is what my personal opinion is. Yours is valid just as well, though :)

http://etotheipiplusone.com/kde4daily/docs/kde4daily.html -- Have fun :)
To be fair, you will probably be only able to use it until 2032, but that should be enough for everyone.

What is wrong with you people?
and to summarize his letter, I simply say: TLDR.
Now let's just hope this was the last we had to hear from him (apart from the actual debarment).

Then, you also have http://www.google.com/experimental/#BetaShortcuts ; it is pure bliss and I have modified my gg*: web shortcuts to append &esrch=BetaShortcuts to all queries.
Try it, you might like it

So do German customers unless they are in the US or, reportedly, Japan.

..'Uppsala' is something a Bavarian might say after making a mistake. Think Homer's 'doh'.
