even better, install the windows in your neighbor's house. They'll wonder why your face is always at the window, or at least wonder why the sun is still up at 3am. "Gee...it was just raining outside when I last looked out the window. Hmmm"
"...prevent data from being written to USB devices...."
This means you could still READ from sucha device, including an iPod, without the risk of writing sensitive information to the device. Sure...good job microsoft.
In the book 'Hocus Pocus' one character refrains from swear words because it 'gives people an excuse to not listen to anything you have to say.' You would think that a smart person doing a documentary in order to put forth a point of view would refrain from such 'deception' in order to make their view as argument-proof as possible. The more underhanded tactics you use, the more you open yourself up to critisism unrelated to your argument. Oops!
1. slam the revolving door by pushing it backwards
2. disconnect the revolving door and slam it to the ground
3. I don't have a revolving door you insensitive clod!
4. call it names and tell gross stories about the revolving door
5. having sex with a revolving door is publicly humiliating
6. quick quiz: which president had a 'revolving door' policy?
7. have you SEEN the revolving doors of today?
8. all your revolving doors are belong to us
9. ??????
and the number 10 way to slam a revolving door?
10. profit
It's funny that when a person asks a question they get a score of ZERO, but the answers to that question get +5 moderated.
There are no stupid questions, only stupid people who ask questions.
I don't know what part of the US you drive in, but your statement most definitely does NOT apply in to roads from Maine to Pennsylvania. I've made trips all around the northeast and I can tell you that nobody stays right and passes left. Cars pass all over the place. I've often seen the left lane be the slowest lane. Earlier posts regarding the Autobahn have it right...a strict adherence to the 'left lane for passing only' makes for MUCH more orderly and predictable traffic. Also, your claim that 'the major cause of accidents is people passing only on the left' really needs some kind of proof.
On another topic, posters who mention that 'safe' driving doesn't always mean 'slow' driving are correct. It isn't high speed that causes the accidents, it only makes them worse when they do happen. It takes TWO people to have an accident...one to fuck up, and another to NOT NOTICE or react to the fuck up. Also, there are very few 'accidents' on the road. A jackass running a red light is not accidental, its a mistake. An accident is getting a flat due to a nail in the road, a tree branch falling, or perhaps black ice. When somebody fucks up, it is NOT an accident, it is a fuck up.
no...it means AMERICA may lose its space program. I'm sure other, smarter countries will be glad to take up the slack. 200 years and america is already shooting itself in the foot, in more areas than space travel.

They need to use one of those virtual keyboards and a small projector. It can then be the size of a cell phone with the interface of a full-size laptop. Kinda like that computer-in-
a-pen thing posted here awhile ago (can't find link) but in one cell-phone sized device. The same methods could be used to make phone calls, with the same ease, but when you get to a desk you'll have a laptop. Human interfaces seem to be the biggest part(s) of these digital devices.

I work IT here in Boston. The pay rate in Philly for similar jobs is comparable. The RENTS in Philly, however, are about HALF what the are in Boston. That's already got me thinking about a move, but if they also offer free wireless, I can't imagine staying here much longer.
I'd just like to point out that the people complaining about swapping CDs seem mostly to be:
1. non-console users
2. more afraid of ruining the media
Also, a computer is used for many more things than gaming, so the likelyhood that other media is in the drive is greater. How about listening to your own music while you play the game? Can't do that on a one drive system which requires the game CD, and if the music CD has copy protection that keeps it from being burned, you are out of luck.
I agree with you completely. Your statement would also have applied during prohibition. The gov't specifically outlawed alcohol. The people decided they didn't think that was right, and now we can all drink. The same thing applies with our privacy. Yes, the gov't has specifically outlawed anonymous travel, but I (and many others) don't think it's right.
First off, an IQ of 100 is average, so you need to make your numbers fit around that. Also, and I could be wrong, intelligence is spread out in a standard bell curve, not a curve following the numbers you gave.
So what are you implying about miniature golf? I don't have the right to play? I guess I should turn myself in right now.
You are not a very smart person. Of course you have the right to play miniature golf. You also have the right to GO TO Six Flags. You also have the right (mentioned elsewhere in this thred) to breathe, piss, eat and scratch your nuts. You DON'T have the right to drive slow in the left lane, because there are specific laws telling you not to. The only rights you don't have are those SPECIFICALLY denied you. That's it. Everything else is fair game. If you think otherwise, you have missed the point and anything you say based on you missing the point will also have missed the point.
Excuse me...I have to lobby congress for my right to post to/.
Actually, only HALF of workers can be below average. When you mention 'smoothing out the distribution of wealth,' are you implying communism? We see how that idea worked out. If I ran a business, I would want only to hire people who are 'well above average in skill and productivity,' wouldn't you? How can you expect to compete with anybody if you have idiots for workers? People aren't born into some natural right to 'deserve' a job, they need to earn the right to work by doing a good job. If they aren't smart, they can make it up with a good work ethic.
this isn't a sig. I really don't have one, so I just added this line.
When you read the sentence, "My mom was on the internet the other day and visited a site devoted to goats," is there ANY question as to which internet it refers to?
That said, I think it should be capitalized, if not for clarity, at least out of respect for the thing.
I know this is a little off-topic, but the poster mentions sharing the road with Hummers. I find it amazing that the impact points of cars, all the way around the vehicle, are not of standard height. What's the point of bumpers if they are going underneath the car on impact? Yes, I realize that off-road vehicles need higher clearance and need to use public roads to get offroad, but we see the results of non-standard bumper heights everyday, including here.

Did you discover this information on the internet, or the Internet?
Careful of your button-fly 501s around this guy.

This can't be true, that thought comes before language. Y'all need a language first so I can tell y'all what to think!

Vote. Yes, and hope that election day is three weeks away, as you won't be home before then.
