Heck security researchers might find massive hole in system, reports in to manufacturer and they newer release fixed firmware/ actually fix thebug... Then theres user, user should be help liable for hes actions, like setting weak password, etc...

    So Oreilly hates money? I have bought huge pile of their individual ebooks over the years.. Im sure some bean counter somehow has had mistaken idea that they can convert xx% of individual buyers to monthly subcriptions... I do hope this backfires on them badly.. Safari is very good for professionals that can tax deduct it easy. Not so god for hobbyist that has other hobbies competition that money as well.

    Not to mention 15 minutes of advertisement at beginning, people that forget to silence their smartphones, etc... We would have to go to big city to get to movie theater, so we don't do that very often. Not to mention tickets here costs so much...

  15. Funny Google act like bully untill press gets the story... Also in my country officials clearly sate that you should newer scan your id/passport/creditcards to any website... Google really should work their customer service... You cant just close something and not tell them why. This sort of moving city is perfect example what can go wrong...

    Since government likes to bend rules, maybe its time to seriously consider removing fingerprint locking from phones entirely... Slef incriminating protection is about handing over damaging evidence, it should not matter how that evidence is accessed... If i lock my phone with fingerprint/password/etc... i have expectations of privacy...

    USB-C is still proprietary port. Just because some specs are available docent mean its open implementation. This is change for no reason. Users have been wanting better batteries for phones for years now. Trend seems to be thinner and thinner phones that also means severe compromises on physical integrity of phone. Personally i would keep old and trusty connector, add couple mm to thickness of phone and use that space to add bigger battery for phone. Modern usage patterns really dont benefit to small batteries...

  21. Sad that none has secured manufacturing rights for these old chips... With modern process they would get grazy high yeilds from chip manufacturing, considering those wide (by todays standards) line widths...

    Well old times things were not built to cheapest zhensen market special offer components. Om surprised our modern technology works as well at it does considering they use cheapest everything they can find on them... Vheapest capasitors, cheapest resistors, cheapest chips, cheapest pcb manufacturing.... And old Commodore64 pcb is not one of those moderns hey lets get little water on it and it corrodes away types...
