If the original game was done right, and designed with crossplatform in mind, it shouldn't be too hard a task. But, it seems most developers these days like using the "easy" way out instead of doing it right....
Since Novel owns Word Perfect, maybe they could release an open source version of it, and try to compete against MS Office again? With all the people throwing fits about OpenOffice's java stuff, Novel could try to start an even better open source office suite, along with maybe a pay version with a few extra bells and whistles and tech support too?

Dear Customers,
If you're just gonna keep whining about our products, I guess we'll have to do something about it, but you should have learned from the PS1 and PS2 that our first gen products are always faulty pieces of crap...Can't wait to see what weird defects the first PS3's have, just wait a year;)
Up until recently, it was almost impossible to get this little program called Nvu on Gentoo (using standard portage tree, not overlays). They finally updated it to the new version 0.9 recently, but they just had version 0.6 (huge difference) for quite a while there... This is why I hate relying on my distro for all my software I want to run on their OS.
I'm pretty sure autoconf and autopackage are completely unrelated, so for you to judge autopackage based on your experience with autoconf is completely off base.
Another point you missed was that even with Windows, you still have to download a different installer for Win95, Win98, WinNT, Win2000/XP...but with Autopackage you can do every single flavor of linux in one fell swoop (as long as it's the same architecture).
That's fine, but why are we trying to piss off the entire BSD community by bringing portage to BSD now? Have you talked to any BSD guys lately? They hate Gentoo guys now:(

Apparently EA couldn't take it anymore either. Look at this cease and desist letter they sent them... what a bunch of dicks. Can't anybody take a joke?
but will the be offering a gMeal to go with my gDrink? Great April Fools joke Google ;)

Shit, that's right... sorry, the article threw me off ;)

You've never heard about the main 4th branch of the US governent???
In Bill Gate's eyes, 225 hours of service worth alot more than $500,000...that's pocket change ;)
The title is "Linux: New Kernel Developer Blog" what more do you want?
I'm pretty sure this is just for the Linux kernel...
Yay! Now we get to read posts like:

It was probably more about "dishonoring" him or something...

Sony
what a load of krap...

KDE may sound fine, but the way they have to spell everything with a K is retarded... might as well make it the MKDE :P
no, then it would have to be miKrosoft
Woohoo! Oh wait...so, I've already got it if my apps are up to date?
So I guess Slackware is going back to command line only? :P
I never said I was part of that 97% jackass...
