    My gf's paranoid and seeing as the webcam computer is in the bedroom she likes the webcam to be facing down into the monitor.

    This is a usb camera and the above still applies even with the computer turned off (she's not stupid, just paranoid)

    why not just give tag posts that match the lameness filter and give the user the option to mod them down via their own settings (like you can with AC's). Alternatively they could have a default mod of -1 and a +1 mod would make them back up to their default +1 (usually 2, sometimes 1 or 3)

    what hope is there for Linux?
    Linux is free (gratis), so anybody can just give a copy of an install cd to a friend, or install linux on anybodys computer for them.

    Also you dont have to buy different hardware which obsoletes the brand new (IA32) computer youve just bought (6 years ago)

    Microsoft will say it does not cost that much to include it and point to other free players as an indication of cost.


    And the opposing lawyers should have pointed to linux, the bsd's, etc that an operating system doesn't have to cost money either.

    (im not sure if that is the correct path to IE, if c: is stored in ~/.wine/c, and yes, my computer is called frog)

    (also, i dont use IE, even in wine)

    Doesn't he get paid by the OSDL, which means his job is only secure while they believe he is effective in his leadership and he continues to ensure the linux kernel is kept a quality product.

    thats an MCK-9000 from Ortek. Its actually quite a good keyboard once youve identified that problem and got used to only using one at once.

    i never read instructions that are included with anything. As an example why, my gf's dad (i live with my gf's family) bought a wireless+wired belkin router.

    I waited in his computer room while he had set it up like he asked, incase he had problems. After 20 mins of following the instructions and installing software (why software with a router connected by ethernet??) exactly like the manual said, I had a go. I thought sod the instructions (he was following them perfectly because we both agreed on what everything meant).

    I set it up just like connecting any p2p LAN, and hellfire - it worked in 2 minutes. (all i needed from the manual was the ip address/username/password of the router so i could configure it.

    Instructions are evil. Have you ever tried assembling furnature (like a bookshelf or something) following instruction (if theyre even in english)?

    could be done if you have also happen to carry a laptop near a wifi hotspot though
