How many times have you tried asking a woman to explain the clothes they are wearing? How many of them have just ignored you?
Nothing unusual at all about that kind of behaviour.
Um, yeah. I know lots of women who go around wearing breadboards tied to their shirts with silly putty in my hands at a freaking airport. Come on... I agree she should not have been arrested, but the cops WERE right to detain her. If she honestly didn't put two and two together (I'm in an airport which have extremely high amounts of fear in the security agents, plus, and I'm wearing something with wires and putty in my hands that could be mistaken to be a bomb) then she probably shouldn't be attending MIT... That is common sense... If she was walking around on campus, or in the lab, of course it would be different. But you have to know that in 2007 fears in the airport are extremely high and going in with wires, LEDs, and putty to (probably) intentionally cause a stir is idiotic, and borderline retarded.
THEN, I noticed you posted this same crap over and over and over and over and over again.
Crossdressing Ron (Ru) Paul doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of winning, so seriously, SHUT THE FUCK UP.
I know I'm voting democrat, we must destroy the republican "moral (HA) majority" at all costs. Ru (Ron) Paul is a republican. In fact, he's the Mike Gravel of republicans. Bat-shit-insane. I'm pretty sure Mike Gravel would be against National ID too. So why don't you get behind him. He's, quite frankly, a lot less scary (IE: not a republican).
So, please. Spew your crap somewhere else. I got kicked out of the state fair for telling off a bunch of Ru (Ron) Paul supporters. Apparently yelling "LEAVE ME THE F&*K ALONE" when they follow you around, and are at EVERY event is obscene. I think, voting for a republican is much more obscene.
This is very true. Most cable systems filter things above 42MHz to prevent people from accidently feeding video back down the line and screwing with channels. In my town the digital cable boxes connect at around 10MHz and cablemodems around 22MHz. The return stream (that 5-42MHz) is very noisy from my understanding, so its hard to get more upstream bandwidth out there...
Except Iraqi citizens care. Most Americans, as long as their NASCAR doesn't get interrupted, wouldn't care. As long as its not the "communists" or "Islam" Americans really don't give a shit.
Yeah, have fun with your little hunting rifle vs. the US Army, Marines, National Guard, and the local cops. None of those people will hesitate for one second to use their vastly superior weapons to kill you. And, judging from the way we treat the citizens in Iraq, they'll have no problem doing whatever they want to your family, kids, wife, parents, neighbors, friends, relatives, and whoever else they feel like. I'm sure that will work out well for you.
I'd rather use my freedom of speech to get other countries (perhaps the EU or Asia/China, or something) involved to assist if an overthrow was necessary. Talk to the folks at Waco or Ruby Ridge about how well "keeping the government in check" works out for you. You get killed, and history reports you as a nut.
This is the 21st century. If you have a valid issue, the internet is much more powerful than a gun in this day and age. Just look at how quick things like YouTube and Flikr can get action in the government.
But OK there Paul Revere, why don't you go and hang up one lantern in the church tower...
I don't know about that. There are times when the conversation may just be more important to the money. Its not like we're talking about thousands of dollars here, we're talking about $200. I don't see how having a $200 cell phone bill one month is stupid...
Well they're welcome to come to Iowa. Here we pay our teachers some of the lowest salaries in the nation (for teachers) and when I was in highschool (7 years ago) the average age of a teacher wasn't much higher than the average age of a student.
Most of the teachers who I had who hadn't retired from a different job (Computer Science instructor was a software engineer at Apple and retired, English teacher retired from University of Iowa English department, etc) or married to someone who makes a good living have long since quit to work in the real world where they can actually make enough to support a family.
Apparently New York state has some f'ed up teaching policies, but don't think for one minute that its like that across the entire country. My science teacher barely made $12,000/year teaching, and she had two (young) kids. She couldn't even afford a babysitter with 100% of her salary. The teachers I knew well enough to discuss finance were all on food stamps...
But yet, still, I plan to go (back) to school and become a teacher in this state...
It's not so funny when you realize that bottom bracket is only making about $8,000 per year, now is it? Would you like to try to live on $8,000 a year without any government services?
What is funny is we allow people to make $billions per year, and other people only make $8,000 a year.
You also need a very nice 3d microscope to be able to even begin. But still, anything BGA is going to be inpossible to solder back on merely because you cant see below the chip to line up the pads.
Most people just assume this is because their TV is crap.
One of my ex-gf's family when I first met her did this all the time. They also thought that some DVDs were broken because they cut off the top and bottom of the picture...
Consumers will put up with a lot of shit, so I doubt they'd return Bluray players...

Yes, and the convience of Tivo quickly outweighs the quality of HD -- or you turn on the TV a few minutes late -- and you find yourself watching perfectly good HD shows off your Tivo in SD.
So, even though I know how to hook all the stuff up, and have HD coming straight into my TV (integrated ASIC tuner) I still find myself watching shows off Tivo in standard def.
The value of stock goes up because others think that they'll be able to make a profit off purchasing it at the current price, therefore the demand increases.
Its not like the company can say "I noticed a lot of people are buying our stock -- lets raise the price".
You can't sell music back to iTMS -- so the value of that song -- the risk taken purchasing it a quarter in the hopes it would become popular and you could sell it for $2 -- doesn't exist.
Not to mention the fact that the number of shares of stock is (for the most part) limited. The supply of MP3's on iTMS is unlimited... therefore there is no lack of supply.
I also worked for McLeod and we all knew the same thing. The thing we had to deal with is customers who would get installed the the LEC but they'd "forget" to punch down the customers line in the SDU box, they wouldn't bring the wires over from the phone company to the subscriber side.
The LEC technically didn't do cross connect / punch down services, so the subscriber would then be on their own to find a local company to do the work. But guess what, if they switched back to the LEC, the punchdown service was part of a standard install. This was Qwest, also one of the horrible bell breakup stories.
We finally wrote instructions that explained how to do the punchdown service that we'd step people through over the phone. It was a total PITA but it got the job done...
I dont think they're refering to the autoplay in Win9x that runs a specified exe file on insert of a CD-Rom. What I think they're refering to is the new autoplay in Windows XP that does different things depending on the type of media inserted... a disc full of photos and it starts a slideshow, a disc full of MP3s and it adds them to a playlist. If you read some of the patents that are linked here, you'll see that that is the basic premise they patented, the idea of autoplay depending of the type of files contained in the media. Just my two cents.
Wow, I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out how you'd get Ron Paul involved in this story.
Mod parent down, SPAM.
I'm so tired of hearing about Ron (no chance) Paul.
Zero comments and the site is already reporting 404 error, makes you wonder how scalable it is...
Then register as a democrat. Whats his stance on gun control? Let me guess... more guns are good?
Blech. Republican trash.
ARGH! Dude, Jesus, f-ing, Christ.
The first post of yours, I excused.
The second I ignored.
The thrird, forth, fifth, sixth, I got annoyed.

Oh come on. Obama doesn't stand a chance. My vote is for Hilary today, but that may change depending on how Edwards progresses.

Wow, where do you live? I spent a few nights in jail and the police threatened to impound my car over an eighth of an ounce.
