Ah... as a test, I checked the pixel colors... while not a common occurance, on one of the pictures was pure white... which can't exist on a photo... those pictures were faked.
You know, thats not a bad idea. Not like cd-rw's are going to cost them much more, at the least it would improve their public image, if only by a little bit. That way they'd get a little bit of free advertising (I'm too lazy to paste a label over the cd) and, it wouldn't be wasteful. The cd would get some use rather than being dumped... not that it's going to happen, but, it'd be nice =)
I don't believe him either... doesn't it seem like someone who gets 3.5 million hits a month would show up in the top 100,000 sites according to alexa? But in the past two years it hasn't even inched in. I'm going to call BS.
The thing is, you can't have a record of who voted for who. To do this, the computer would have to have a record linking the picture to the vote, which is a no no. However, if the pictures were kept seperate from the vote you could probably use it to catch the people who did it, but, not remove their votes.
I don't see this working, I can't picture Symantec calling up Grisel and saying "Hey, guys, you know that new virus? The one that copies itself billions of times and says hello to the user?... you don't? oh... nevermind... have a good day"
This is a business, and if one finds a virus that the other hasn't, they have the advantage until the other virus companies catch on. No point in sharing the information ahead of time.
Advisor: Sir, according to several Slashdot comments, if we spam people, they aren't going to vote for us!
Candidate: Hmm... get an E-Mail spoofer!
It could work...
Ya ya, I know, replying to own post is bad... but did you even look at the rest of that site?
"Perfume sprayers testing biological toxins!!"
"POWER OUTAGE HID MARTIAN INVASION"
AL QAEDA TERROR MESSAGE HIDDEN IN BARNEY SHOW"
gee, maybe this isn't the place to be getting proof for bigfoot.

Good god what on earth have you done? I run Mandrake 9.1 with Gnome on 128! Looks to me like you've gotta have something needlessly running.
I'll miss you =(

So did I =D and it looks done =)
Indeed! Should get These guys to do it.
Thanks =) I think that answer provided the level of detail I was looking for.
Exactly! Efficiency is the key in making a script that may only be ran a hundred times.
Hey, thanks =D just what I was looking for.
Err... 42... damnit =(
Pish, SIX * NINE? Please. They'll definitely be giving it the rating of 47.
