Of course Long-Horn is bug free, but anything can stay bug free when it's in a "Clean Room."
But then there's the Network... the magical realm of connectivity. Longhorn will be exploited before you can type: "Microsoft finally got it righ-*Award Medallion BIOS v8.0, An Energy Star Ally*"
Just picture it, 64-128 people all sweeping for mines with latencies near 30ms. And then you have to watch out for people with hacks that can see THROUGH the squares!!
I was explained to that torrents are not easily traced because all the data is sent in small packet chunks.. I think it might be in 256k chunks.
And that since all these data packets are being sent randomly from various sources, it would be much more difficult to actually point a finger at a source or destination.
It was described that sure you might be able to intercept the transmition of data, but you are not witnessing the transfer of a in-tact file.
So you could see that maybe it's some sort of mpeg stream or maybe part of a larger compressed archive, but it's just a piece of it. And once the next version of the torrent system comes along with the ability to transfer without use of trackers or servers, it becomes here-say on any legal action.
So does this packet chunk bit torrent stuff actually hold true? And if not, Why?
I can see people putting huge film onto drum scanners and just letting it fly, and I can see the epson scanner pulling in a 100 megapixel image, but I can't seeing the resolution being 100 Megapixel, or a Gigapixel.
At a scanning resolution like that, the film grain is just going to spread over the pixels, which is an awesome thing about analog systems. But when scanning, a 100 megapixel image may have the same resolution as a 50 megapixel image. Even if you use a really nice film or even a 70 MM Hassleblad film camera, the scans will only truly match the absolute clarity of the film.
Films (movie style) are natively 35mm. You enlarge that a screen and you can clearly see the limits of the resolution. Cineon film codec format is 3656 x 2664 pixels. At that resolution, editors/effects creators can see the limits of the film grain.
You can't create resolution out of source that didn't exist.
The stylus is suppossed to touch the screen, not the finger. Just like you don't Fist your pda screen. And the dual screens is suppossed to be a redundant measure to make sure that you don't have finger prints. The Upper screen is suppossed to stay clean.
I'd put my money on Nintendo being the best company to opt for cinema presence, since it has consitantly focused on story, replability & character progression. Nintendo has a "world" and Nintendo builds and empire within that world. Many of us have visited Yoshi's Island. If they move into production with Ghibli, I can see some amazing stuff happen.
As for Super Mario Bros the movie - Hollywood was much larger than the video game industry back then, and like it always does it whores out the talent. This time around, Nintendo holds the upper hand. They can make the move since they're more experienced in the biz now.
-----------
Who's the main character that we think of when you think of Disney? Mickey Mouse or Eisner.
-----------
How about the main character for Nintendo? Super Mario or Yoshi.
-----------
How about Sony or Microsoft? Some fuzzy thing with a high top sneakers and a bandana?
I am very fond of the SNES sound processor. The SPC-700 is an amazing little machine that still makes me smile even today. But there are actually some software engines that can enhance the original SPC code.
www.alpha-ii.com has a winamp plugin that can sample the sound up to 96Khz 32bit Stereo with Bicubic interpolation.
The SPC-700 by default runs a guassian interpolation @ 22khz 16 bit Stereo. Now sure we're not talking about SACD quality this software enhancement does take the original cassette resolution and enhance it beyond CD resolution. The Alpha-II (winamp plugin) engine can take the original code and actually make it's resolution as high as DVD-Audio.
If you listen, you can hear the added sharpness and the overall effect, and I can honestly say that some of this software can beat the SPC-700 at it's own game.
Play "Jigsaw Plains" from Kirby's Dream Course and you'll notice what I mean.
From what I know, true impressive recognition is not always encouraged for each anniversary. In North America, I know as a general rule of thumb that key recognitions happen on years I, V, X, XXV, L, C, M.
So 30 is... yeah it is 3 full decades.. and I guess each decade is pretty spiffy. And I do love the number 3.. But I can see why this book may not be as -tight- as most would except summary literature to be.
So no worries. 50 will be here eventually and I am sure there will be very memorable fanfare. Worthy fanfare.
Spyware? Hold on.. I know that it asks for some statistics upon install, and it likes to do some web update checks once in a while, but where's the spyware?
I have a friend who "realized" the power of Excel Communications. For those of you who don't know about this yet, Excel Com is one of those pseudo-pyramid systems that somehow stays legal. The whole cult cheering business system freaked me out.. but I had always wondered why Microsoft wasn't chasing these weirdos down with a firestick.
Ok, so walmart has 460TB of data. What would this data actually be? Is it just 460TB of text documents that were compiled from every sale/inventory/stock order ever made? Or is it even larger like holding every world statistic of anything to do with anything that affects consumerism?
And how would one pull a pop-tarts statistic out of a 460TB database? Ctrl+F ? I'm serious. I really don't know.
I put music into my stereo.
It's called "Playing" music.
"Playing" music is somewhat different than "Playing" your Bi@tch or a kazoo. And it is very very different than "Playing House" although the techno scene has oddly changed that.
There is also the obvious Apple iTunes wireless transmitter, but that would require you to purchase fruit.
My best friend listens to a lot of stereo especially since he got Mono. He would like a Surround, but nobody will go near him right now.
Since machines have no concious abiliity of what is right or wrong, a fundamental power of democracy is taken from the people's voice.
Sure there is a possibility that the 2004 election went through without any real influence/bias.. but the foundation for a more advanced & complicated manipulation of your right to vote.
No matter what way you cut it, you add another possible flaw in authenticity for the sake of efficiency. But who's really going to listen anyways...
There is no war on terror.
There is no war on terror.
There is no war on terror.
To have a war on terror is to have a war on a human emotion. Terror is vivid fear. The war on terror would have to be an internal war. And the best tool to win that war would be meditation. To learn how to control one's emotions like one drives a car.
Bush fools ALL people of the United States of America by enforcing this impossible objective.
AND if Humans ever win the war on terror, they will become Lemmings. People that have no terror/fear can walk off a clif to their death. Why? Because their biological warning system has been disabled. This would be winning the war on terror.
The FUNNY thing is... everyday I see a suicide bomber destroy buildings/cars/gatherings of Humans. These suiciders have won the war on terror. To take one's own life for the cause of a cognitive objective the absolute victory over fear.
The soldiers of the US/UK have shown that. So have the terrorists.
I wasn't given an option to be anything but Human. I am born into a world where there is no unclaimed/natural land & I cannot leave the human race because the race dominates earth.
Earth is officially a global village.
Each country has a mindset, which makes them a life force.
Younger countries have younder mindsets. Older countries have older mindsets. The United States of America is a child still; A fat child with much of it's population un-educated in the ways of the "big picture." Look towards the Greeks, Romans, Germans, Russians, Chinese... basically the world and learn that ALL empires will crumble. Being World-Stupid will accelerate an empire's demise.
Spank the USA, Fire bush, and stop the killing. No biological weapons have wiped out any states yet. Lets keep it that way?
-full of salty heartfelt tears.
Consider yourself lucky for even using GMAIL. I hear all about how wonderful or how hard it is to use GMAIL.
A quick check to GMAIL.com and I find HO HO! It's still BETA! Anybody that is just feeling stripped of their moral rights by loosing 3rd party notification; Remember shmucks like me whole are quietly waiting until until a 1 gig inbox is an actual reality.
I got an email from Hotmail staff saying that I was going to get my hotmail account bumped up to 100+ megs in a few weeks. Well so much for that false hope... and then.. I hear about how not having email notification from 3rd party vendors. Oh cry me a river and make it deep.
You don't like what Google is doing, give your account to somebody who DOES and build your own damn IMAP server out of all those 486's that are animating your christmas lights to ABBA.
-And then you don't have to worry about any of these
backdoor shannanigans.
Destroy the DRM in the files, modify the software/firmware in the Ipod and make it what I would call a "white" system.
DRM on classified information belonging to the UN; that I can see useful. DRM on Justin Timberlake is another story. This is assuming that I would actually pay money for a song that isn't encoded at the highest rate that the codec can offer. Last time I checked, iTunes doesn't push the codec to it's highest bitrate.
Kudos to Real for trying to make a market for themselves. If Apple trys to crush Real with DRM moves, then Apple is no better than Microsoft IMO.
This Nuclear weapons testing... this topic contstantly makes me realize how short-sighted the US Military really is.
Ok boys, you got the sandbox. Didn't mean you had to bring firepower to obliterate it for the next X centuries, and oh... what's that leaking out of your pocket??

If nobody reads this. Then so be it.
Set up huge techno-fire works on the satellites and do horizon wide shows of colours. Or not..
I wonder if you would be able to see them from the ground on a good night or would they be beyond the reach of the human eye?

When you add lasers to anything, the net benefit is multiplied by %5555. Interstella 5555 is a prime example.
Ninjas also benefit from lasers ovbiously.
