    Why do we want to learn Esperanto?

    I don't see reports saying the world, or internet is going to be based on that language.

    What I think is, you feel so stupid for being the only one who learned it, your trying to get others to also.

    Sort of like religious freaks and druggies.

    He also violated a contract he voluntarily signed with the government in which he said that in exchange for being given access to classified information that if he ever leaked it during his life that he would face criminal charges. Whether or not what he did was for good reasons or not, he has to live with the consequences of violating that contract he signed.

    Well, shit, we should throw him in jail and throw away the key. he broke a contract!!!! That's worse then, maybe, killing civs and covering it up. I know I think that.

    Wake the fuck up. Dude did what his conscious had him do. And he did right. Now it's up to us to help him out.

    I have Apple II software, C64 software, and even TRS-80 Model I & III software, on disks from back then that I have to sometimes work to get the data off.

    But not that often, seeing as most the software from those systems I also have downloaded from usenet for emulators for my collections.

    I also have a pair of 360k 5.25" floppy drives in an old pentium system I use for some systems, like the TRS-80's for reading/writing the info into the PC world.
    If i only had a 486 or earlier computer still, i'd be in heaven (though i do have some 486 plug in cards for a mac or 2 i have, but that don't count.

    TV's get bigger, can support a higher resolution, yet they stop making split screen games.

    Now we have social everything. We are supposed to be interconnected, yet, they are making it so you need to do multiplaying online, instead of having some friends over and kick butt in your living room.

    Of course, it's all about the game producers selling more copies, instead of having people just play on 1 copy (even though, chances are, the peeps have the same game at home).

    Seriously fuck up priorities these days.

    Because some bozo starts whining about fragmentation whenever Android is mentioned?

    But, it seems to be a valid criticism.

    I'm sure I've seen people saying they can't get the latest update because their carrier won't do it, or when they do get an update it breaks things and introduces even further lock down -- completely against the aims of the Android.

    From what I've seen, fragmentation within Android is becoming a big deal as companies muck with it. Just how many flavors of the Android OS are there, and how much have the carriers/manufacturers been altering it to make themselves more money?

    I have a G1 that is running Android 2.2 (maybe it's 2.1).

    1.6 was the version for that, but it didn't stop me from upgrading it.

    Oh, do i get support on it? no, but then, I don't get support on the phone now anyways.

    Cancelled my MasterCard, then chopped it up. Enough people do that, MasterCard will start to wise up.

    Of course, I'm probably going to replace it with some flavour of Visa, which is probably just as evil and certainly did jump on the ban-Wikileaks bandwagon.

    The summary fails to connect the viewing of radiographs to surgery. The point of this is to allow interaction with a computer without having to touch anything, in order to select, view, zoom, pan, etc radiographs. Hands-free is fantastic in this case, as it maintains a sterile environment, and keeps blood from being smeared all over physical computer controls. Obviously there would be many uses for this in surgery besides just viewing radiographs, but that is a good place to start.

    yes, because foot pedals would be too obvious to use instead...

    #3 Why don't I accept checks, money orders? Easy to fake/cancel. I don't accept credit/debit cards because I'm not setup for that crap, and honestly, most of you need to learn to live in your means. I take cash, because I can use it easily. As for taxes, that's my business, isn't it? Sort of like the "questionable pics" you have on your computer is your business. If you think it's your business to make sure I pay taxes, then it's my business to make sure you don't have anything illegal on your computer. See how that works?

    And for teh AC that claims I'm a drug supplier. Why would I fix peoples computer and accept weed as a payment, if I was supplying weed to the dealers? Seems to me, I would already have an income, and wouldn't have to deal with the pain of fixing other computers problems.

    Do you think those of us who fixes computers actually enjoy fixing yours? Hell no. The shit sucks and you need to learn better internetting habits.

    For the decades I've been downloading pirated software, cracks, copyrighted material, and what not, you know how many times I've been infected? 3 times. And the first time it was the Stone virus on my XT. (it was so cool, my PC booted up, said it was stoned, and I said, "fuck ya, so am I". Then I realised that only i should of been stoned. lol

    I'm not going into the horror stories of fixing peeps computers, i'm sure, those that have done it, or do it, understand exactly why it's sucks.

    now, when my stomache hurts, ya, a placebo can help, because if I distract myself, i'll forget about my stomache hurting. But it's not serious, and very fucking minor.

    Now my anti-depressants. Give me a placebo, and i'll start getting depressed. Sure, it's mental, so you'd think the placebo would work. Except, of course, i need the drugs to balance out teh chemicals in my brain, and no amount of faking it will do that.

    Anyways, I already don't trust the doctors, so how is them lying about crap going to make that better?

    And why do placebo's cost as much as the drugs they are faking?

    I'm an eye person. It's what I love about chicks the most (but their soft curvy parts come in a close second).

    But besides that, i can read people by looking in their eyes. Hard to explain, but if I make I contact with you, I connect to you somehow and can figure out what's going on inside.

    That being said, it gives me the creeps as most people really, well, suck.

    So if i'm looking at your cleavage when we talk, don't be offended, you don't want me to read what's going on in your head.

    It really is the same old story again.

    When the first iPhone was launched, one of the showcase apps was something where you could see where all your friends are. The first iPhone didn't have GPS, so it was WiFi and GSM triangulation and not very accurate, but my first thought was "do I want that?".

    Shouldn't it have a toggle - a hardware one even, just like the mute one - where I can decide whether I want my location shared or not? It should be quick and easy to toggle between those states. I would be off most of the time, other people would be on most of the time, but everyone has reasons, times or places they don't want to be located.

    You telling me that they don't have options in the settings for togging gps, and location finding by wifi and stuff?

    Because, on my G1, they have those "toggles" as you say it. Software toggles, but that is sort of the point.

    the phone are mean to be sleek. putting a bunch of switch & sliders on it for stuff seems counter productive, costly, and of course, more crap to break.

    Seems to me your just bitching about people too lazy to actually go thru their phone settings and seeing what you can and can't do with it.

    If you RTFA, you'll see the hooks are totally different. You're in the right vein, though. The unlit case looks like it uses a single strip of cut metal for the attachment hooks, a pretty simple design, and much cheaper than making hooks that aren't shorts.

    My guess is the only reason they're painted black is because they were aware of this problem and thought that would fix it good and cheap. Or the paint is simple corrosion prevention and they didn't know...

    Wish i could read the original article, seeing as both the links don't say anything like this.
