Just because they are guest doesn't mean you have to let them use your computer. Do you let them use your toothbrush also?
This is a really stupid question. All the answers you need are a easy search away. Why are we answering questions for complete noobs? There is a million of websites like that already.
Most of the strategies outlined in TFS are illegal, so your point is moot. Plus there are plenty of people like me who pay ~$30,000 in federal taxes (on top of other state and local taxes), but could never afford the legal and accounting team necessary to create such elaborate tax-evasion schemes. In short, it's yet again the middle class that gets fucked.
would that be the same middle class that is getting close to being in the poor section?
Repeats the same three anecdotes 11 times. Stupid people will say the word "bomb" sarcastically. Headline news.
...and stupid people take them seriously.
If you had your hands in your pocket and a cop pulls a gun on you and tells you to take your hands out of your pockets, are you going to say, sarcastically, "But I have a gun in my pocket?" or "my gun will fall out" or something about having a fucking gun?
Sarcastically or not, joking about bombs when you are trying to board an airplane is stupid, i mean, really fucking stupid.
I'd say the Atari computer line was more successful than the TRS-80 line. Maybe I'm a bit biased though as the Atari 400 was my first computer.
Where i grew up, the schools all had TRS-80's and no Apples. So I cut my teeth on Radio Shack & a C64 before I got my hands on an Apple II.
Today? I have all 3 of them. TRS-80 4p, Apple IIe & IIgs, C64 + C128. All working.
My conclusion? The Apple computers rocked. It was made to be used and abused. Built in Assembler Monitor, tons of ports, easy access to the insides. A computer that said, "Learn all of me!!!!"
Honestly, "Tie Fighter" was vastly superior to the older "X-Wing" game.
Better graphics, a decent story (in comparison), better targeting, more controls (match speed), etc.
While I look at "X-Wing" somewhat fondly, it's "Tie Fighter" that really steals my heart. That game is literally in my top 3 favorites video games of all time.
"X-Wing Alliance" was alright, but it still wasn't as fun as "Tie Fighter"
Good to know. If I find one in the cutout bin I might pick it up if it's cheap enough.
Dude, 100 applicants? Fucking out of this world. Hell ya, dude, dude!!!!! I got the greatest fucking idea of all time. Quit camping on the bowl, give me a hit. Thanks dude.... What were we talking about? No, I hadn't seen the that cat video, no, dude, wait, the Pot Czar applications. You get them all in a room, and smoke out. Fuck ya, dude, I'm talking smoke out of the century. The last app standing gets the job. Fuck I'm a genius. WTF dude? don't spill the bong...
...to the death of indie games. I've released an indie game on xbl and was pretty proud of it. I didn't get rich, I didn't win awards, I did it to make something fun. Indie games now are a rebirth of the games industry and really are no longer "indie" but rather small game development shops. The idea of being indie for me was to be against the regular establishment of publishing, development houses, big budget games. It seems the evolution of indie games will eventually prove that they are, by definition, no longer indie.
I don't agree. What is going on is that developers are understanding that Triple AAA titles and spending big money to make games is a waste. And it's funny because that is how video games were for computers since someone started selling the first video game. You didn't need a big budget to program for your computer. Problem has been the cost of programming on consoles was high, and the big publishers have all gone "hollywood" and think that spending $100's of millions of dollars on video games is smart business.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not paying the $40-$50 they want for some of the current games that are seriously outdated graphics and the PC versions are ports that don't get any love at all. I haven't seen a release in the last year that has been worth any money paid ('cept Guild Wars 2), and as a smart consumer, I did NOT pay for any of them. (I paid for GW2 if you get confused). But some of these indie games? $10? Sure, no problem.
There must tons and tons of products and registered trademarks around the name Padmini in India. An actress Padmini (no lastname) is the top hit for Padmini in google. I know at least one car model was named Padmini. Every town will have a cafe or a grocery store or a hotel (lodge in local parlance) named Padmini. So I would not be surprised if some one there challenges iPad mini as "too similar to my registered brand name" there. Even if the case has no merit someone might sue just for the publicity or with some hope of reaching a settlement with a multinational company with deep pockets.
Doesn't matter unless a Padmini is making electronics & computers, then it might be a lawsuit.
When my current phone dies, I'm buying another dumb phone. I do NOT need a "smart" phone to track me and let others track me, I'll stick with a dumb phone that makes phone calls.
1.8 teraflops, 800MHz clock speed... so they're aiming for a GPU with roughly the same power of something nVidia released in 2010?
Not to mention only 8GB RAM shared between GPU & CPU, I'm sure that'll last us for years to come!
Two pieces of fairness here...
1.) the PS3 had 256MBytes of RAM on its release. 2.) like every other console, it can get away with having lower specs than a general purpose PC - it doesn't have to run an operating system in the same sense that a desktop does; in broad terms it's closer to ESXi and its requirements than Win7/OSX/Ubuntu in its, so far more of that RAM can go to the game itself.
Bonus: Even if we postulate that the OS takes a gig of RAM itself, 7GB is roughly 1/3 of a single layer Blu-Ray disc. I know that HD textures can eat up graphics RAM pretty quickly, but is it really limiting to have 1/3 of a game in RAM at a time? Let's face it, console game creation has always involved working within some incredibly tight limits...even Crysis 3 doesn't require that amount of RAM to play. If 7GB of RAM and streaming the rest from an internal hard disk is a constraint, then I'd be forced to assume that the people writing games cut their teeth on ActiveX controls...
Yes, and devs have been bitching about the low amout of ram in the Xbox 360 & PS4. Now they have nothing to bitch about. You on the other hand, don't appear to know shit and is bitching up a storm. You a dev? No? Then quit assuming.

PCs don't get to run Sony exclusive titles. People like them, a lot. It's the same for the other consoles, it's about the games, not the transistor configurations. The new xbox will also return to x86 architecture. Going to moan about that too?
Odd, as a PC Gamer, I could care less about the exclusive games to the consoles. Since almost all games that are put out on consoles have crappy PC ports, I'm pretty sure exclusives games, if they were to come to PC's are going to be crappy ass ports.
The War or Drugs will be stopped once and for all when this laser comes out.
The War on Drugs could be stopped by making drugs legal.

I doubt you will find it anywhere unless it's a place that sells old use PC games.
based on how they go after prototypes that get lost, you'd think they got an iDrone heading his way....
Blackberry Messenger. I had to google it.
That would be very funny. You'd have to past a drug test to be the Pot Czar. =)

I am so tired of every news site thinking they have to come up with clever April Fool's Day articles. Today is going to be a long day.
Glad I haven't gone to bed yet, I'm going to sleep all day and then just mark everything read.
I like a good April Fools Prank as anyone, but thanks to the internet, there are too many and they are all pretty much lame.

I guess it's not new and shiny anymore, so we can just throw it away.
I did want to read the actual article, but the only link is to a 2008 article.
Fail or what?
http://news.sky.com/story/1071902/supercomputer-pioneer-roadrunner-to-shut-down
That is the article. And i see why they are getting rid of it, not as power efficient as new computers.
I will be pirating a copy of it.
thanks!
And if you are worried about the quality of what I am getting, please release an official version at the same time you air the program.

Fortunately, for people who want a Linux box and a game console in one package, Ouya comes out this June. I have no need for Sony.
You mean the "Steam" Box (Valve) will be a Linux box & game console in one Package.
Ouya runs Android, not Linux.

A true study would have equal numbers marked and unmarked. Also, did they change their origination point? If not, that could also skew the data.
If I had a dollar every time an atheist cried like a little bitch.....
I guess not reading the article makes you ask stupid questions.
Equal number of marked & unmarked packages. both sent out at the same time. both sent to the same address. They did this with 89 different people.
I hope the FBI figures out that the various trolls in online chats are actually terrorist speaking in code.
