Wouldn't that depend where you are in space? Sure, if you have the sun shinging on you, providing some heat, then the gun will get really hot fast, but what if you are far from the sun? Or the sun is blocked? Then it's really cold in space and I don't see the heat of the gun being that big of a deal.

We should actually see more innovation in this regard as a result.

The last time I was arrested, I spent about four hours in a holding cell, and there was a row of phones along the wall. There were no restrictions on who we could call, or how long we could talk. There was no indication that the phone calls were being monitored, and it is illegal to record calls without notification.

All games that have the budget for graphics these days are targeted at console limitations. I can't really see any reason to spend that much on a graphics card, except if you're a game developer yourself.

Every clip, connector, screw, etc that is needed to make something 'repairable' adds weight, bulk, and cost. People have clearly demonstrated that weight, size, and cost win out over repairability when making their purchasing decisions. You can't lay it all (or even most of it) at the feet of the manufacturers.
