    If anybody has one of these I have two questions.

    1) Does your PC have to be in the same room as your TV.
    2) Does your PC have to have somebody logged in? In other words can it run as a service under W2K.

    Interesting. So you are basically saying that MS bribed themselves out of the antitrust suit.

    The odd thing is that almost everybody agrees that MS broke the law and used anti competitive tactics and yet the bribes allowed them to escape punishment.

    Sad.

    You need a license to operate a car. You need to take a written and driving test too. You also need to register your car and keep the registration updated. If you drive too fast or under the influence you can get a ticket. If you kill somebody while driving you can go to jail.

    Oh how I wish all of the above was true for computers.

    If they went with the GPL they could not later get SCO to sue people. Oh never mind this is America, you can get SCO to sue on your behalf on any old pretext.

    So what? It's not like the DOJ would punish them or anything. Legality only matters if the court system is willing to go after you when you break laws. The DOJ has shown no willingness to hold MS accountable.

    The V in DAV stands for versioning. It should be able to version your docs automatically at the server using DAV. I am surprised nobody has implemented that yet (yes I know about SVN not the same thing).

    Once you are in upper management (for which an MBA is required) you become evil. You forget your moral upbringing. You stop caring about people, environment, employees, ethics etc. You only care about money and nothing else.

    The above statement is not true for small businesses. If you make (revenue) less then 10 million a year then you are probably running an ethical businessness. If your reveues are above that then you have already let go of the lessons your parents and teachers thought you.

    Soon after Bush took office the DOJ took splitting MS off the table. After that everything went to hell.

    All presidents tax, all presidents spend. That's what govt does. It's what people demand. You either pay for your spending or go into hock. Bush has chosen to go into hock to fuel his spending spree.

    They have a better record then the republicans.

    Republicans only go after businesses if they contribute too much money to democrats. Martha Stewart and Oracle for example.

    What makes you think the CEOs of energy companies are experts? If you wanted experts you'd meet with scientists not people who gave you bribes.

    Because of how businesses act. We don't assume anything we simply look around us and see that people with MBA have a very different moral outlook then we do.

    Does having an MBA make you evil? Maybe not. Maybe people who are already evil are attracted to the MBA degree and position. Who knows.

    If you work at a large institution you know who the MBAs are. You know how they talk and act. No assumptions are required.

    One word "insurance".

    Yes you can get life insurance, disability insurance and health insurance to make sure your familiy is taken care of.

    I know everybody hates insurance but if you get yourself covered properly it is a huge help.

    It's microsoft programmers what else do you expect. The acid and crack dispenser machine was just filled up that day and they kind of overdosed on the stuff. Instead of taking one tab in the start of shift they took three tabs and several grams of crack. Washed it all down with pepsi and started coding.

    This theory also explains active directory too BTW.

    Mistake?? What possible scenario would cause a mistake like this? Xfree69 is allowed but Xfree86 is not. Were they trying to blacklist xfree69 and made a typing mistake?

    Honestly can you describe a scenario which would begat a mistake like this.

    This guy has given the mormon church such a black eye. Every article I read about him makes sure to mention that he is a devout mormon. If I was the head of the church I'd call him and tell him not to mention his religion in the press.
