According to the first google result on 'tobacco tax russia' the duty is about $25 per 1000 cigarettes. This is probably inte same order of magnitude as the profit you can make on smuggling cigarettes if you include costs of procuring, distribution and sales. Say a decent autonomous drone with some carrying capacity costs >$1000. That means you have to sell more than 40000 smuggled cigarettes for each drone you have confiscated by the authorities.
I would say that you have to have a fairly decent success rate to 'win' when you are smuggling tobacco into Russia.
My guess is that books not on specific tools or versions retain their value much longer. Titles like Design Patterns, Network programming, Computer Graphics are more likely to be useful after a couple of years.
Also check if the editions are used in any university courses.
If you ask a humble question or make a polite request to someone who represents a system (political, corporate, cultural etc.) and get an aggressive response, you have acted politically incorrect.
It's what you say to whom, not how you say it.
Linus Torvalds might be a rebel in the world of tech giants but in the community of linux kernel developers, he is a person of power and should take it seriously when someone points out a problem.
I'm pretty sure it's a simple task to use imagemagick and bash/python/language of choice to make a map of binary differences comparing each image with the results file and with each of the other. Crude attempts to copy the result or another students image should be fairly easy to spot. Also, watermarks or lowering the resolution on the final results file might also help.
Slackware
Red Hat
Gentoo
Debian
Ubuntu
Debian
I would say that using Gentoo and doing a stage 1 installation has taught me more about operating systems than anything else.
I use facebook,g+ and twitter, mostly for maintaining a presence rather than posting personal stuf. But I've discovered that google+ is quite good for sharing images with family and closer friends. The fact that you can can share things with people that doesn't have a g+ account just by their e-mail address means that I can show them whats happening in my life from a single place.
Because Apple makes and in many cases retails the end user product. In most countries, either the manufacturer or the retailer is responsible for consumer complaints and warranties.
It's the car manufacturer who is responsible for the faulty floor mat, even if it is made by a subcontractor.
I'm no sociologist, but...
Social groups with something in common usually has unwritten rules that can be summarized as "Don't be a jerk". As the community grows and more people, and therefore more jerks, join. The social control in the group loosens and a bigger need for a formalized set of rules emerge.
I congratulate the OSHW movement for, by this article, taking the first steps towards formalizing their rules, and becoming a more jerk friendly (or unfriendly depending on how you see it) community.
Well, the stirling engine requires a large temperature difference between a hot and cold medium. And will essentially need some kind of cooling source to operate. Stirling engines usually has a maximum efficiency of ~40% (number grabbed from the back of my head, don't take it too seriously) wich means that more than 60% of the heat energy will end up heating the cooling medium.
Also, the mechanical energy generated by the stirling engine will turn into heat sooner or later due to the grim laws of thermodynamics.
It is probably very cheap since the music is public domain and the speakers is probably already in place.
For scientific purposes they should not only compare the classical music with not music but also with a music perceived as crime inducing, such as gangsta rap.
To pay artists with public funds and give their works away for free would be socialist.
To give the companies power over the law is associated with facism.
"...cordoned off like quantum crime scenes." I like creative usage of metaphors in science.

That's amazing. I've got the same combination on my luggage.
This interactive map of denial of service attacks seems to deny it's own interactivity by freezing my browser every time I try to interact with it.

If the MRI data is a bit noisy, you could try some Abbie Normalized Convolution.
Actually, Apple has a lot of fans and they tend to be far from silent.
Just wait until the robots get unemployed... Then we'll see true unrest and uprising.
Yup. Representatives from my technology company of choice just knocked on my door. They are coming to chain me and send me to the cotton fields.
Actually Nr.6 is reserved for future use. 1) Sight 2) Hearing 3) Touch 4) Taste 5) Smell 6) 7) Temperature 8) Balance 9) Autokinectic etc

The ft ligature looks a bit like its standing out. Like they want their name to be stressed MicrosoFT and you get spit all over your screen.

Let us declare April 17 as Airport Security Nudity Day.

It's only a matter of time before someone writes a tool that generates top grade essays.

...is also useful to generate cobblestone, especially on some pvp maps.
Wild animals should never be kept as pets. And there is a lot of people that shouldn't be allowed to have domesticated animals either.
I hope they name it Jozin.
