The best part of the article is when they have sample quotes from some text books. This is my favorite:
"One reason Microsoft's software is the de facto standard is because it is available to run on a variety of computer systems. Recognizing the desirability and benefits of interoperability and software portability, Microsoft's Windows products are designed to be used on many computers besides desktop systems (servers, for example). This is not only a wish of Microsoft, but it is also the wish of many IT professionals responsible for developing and supporting enterprise systems."
I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
Seriously, this has to be a joke no one in their right mind would considering doing this to their child. Just think of the beatings this kid will have to endure when they go to school.
A quote from one CTO: [Linux is] "going to force Microsoft to spend more time on security and stability, and less time on adding new features."
Actually Microsoft's previous lack of focus on security is going to make Microsoft spend more time on security. Too late to shut the barn door that horse is long gone.
I've already made one career change and getting ready to make a job change (hopefully!). I think it was probably one of the best things that happened to me. What really matters is finding something you really like to do. There will always be those small percentage of people though that will never be satisfied with their career and be in a perpetual search for a new job.
I've just implemeted clamav+mimedefang+spamassassin so I'll have to wait a while and see how effective it is. One good place to start though is http://www.declude.com/tools/mailsend.html
It allows you to test your set up by mailing you the eicar virus which is harmless. Good luck.
Technology doesn't cause me stess. Dealing with people that are clueless about technology and are unwilling to learn (even though it's rapidly becoming a part of their job) is what causes me stress.
I hope other providers jump in soon, because if Earthlink is going to be the only choice I'll stick to my crappy dial-up.

If these working groups can't their act together, even more of the will be abandoned by their backers. No matter how well intended, you can't make money unless you can actually build and sell a product.
Let's see how many you sell when everybody comes up with their own version of a product and it doesn't work with anything else.

Well Loki kind of had a good thing going until they went belly up.
These must be the same people that actually enjoy getting spam.

Didn't Yamaha have something like this a few years back? Anyone, anyone, Bueller?
There's a pretty good recipe for a roast pork dish on the Once upon a time in Mexico DVD. Look in the bonus material under 10 minute cooking school.
I liked movieokie better the first time when it was called charades.

The real reason WP is better than Word can be summed up in two words No Clippy.

I wonder if these fixes will correct The 'Outlook Blank Folding' vulnerablity? Better yet I wonder if the fix is to get rid of Outlook Express.
