It's a card that allows you access to the parks, your hotel room if you're staying on Disney ground, and gives the ability to charge food and souvenirs to the card on file. So need for a wallet when you're in the parks - the card does it all.
What the card does especially well is drain you of resources better spent on paying your rent, car payments etc. Use sparingly:)
I managed a boardwalk arcade down the shore one summer in my late teens. Hard Drivin was one of the games in there and was awesome to have the keys to:)
I don't run any Microsoft OSes in my home, but I do own stock in Microsoft. Because I do not care for a company doesn't mean it doesn't make money, and Microsoft still has a strong presence in the enterprise market.
with a late '08 MBP - has lasted much longer than I expected it to. Just tossed 8 GB of RAM into it and I expect at least two more years of life out of it.
There is something to be said for my being born when I was (also having a natively geeky bent to me didn't hurt either). I was born in '72, saw my first movie in the theater in '77 (Star Wars, yay!) played my first video game (Night Driver, yay!) in '79, went to my first computer camp in '81, banging on an Apple ][.
I don't know if I am a digital native - I think of it more like I was a babe on the Mayflower. Lucky me!
Indeed - I shudder to think that this needs to be "soon to be". It should be "now". No food, no drink, no draw ties hanging off of your shorts, etc. Period.
Sorry to hear that bubba. I have enjoyed your posts for a while now. Just said a prayer for her and your family that she either passes quickly/peacefully or gets better ASAP. Having gone through my Mother's sickness/death, I feel for you. Take care of yourself as well as your Mom/Family.
(and yes, I suppose I am giving too big of a hint to the Powers That Be concerning my whereabouts, but truth be told, I'd relish the battle. As a card carrying member of the EFF and a couple of other organizations, it would thrill me to find out how it would go down. Since I don't do anything "wrong", I say bring it on!)
Agreed. I have a armory stuffed with digital widgets that give the Government no way to tap me. I use them a lot when I have to. I also live two blocks from the US Vice President and haven't had anyone knocking at my door, nor do I expect to.
Same with VPN service in the Middle East. Super unlikely they'll know WHAT you are sending, but the mere existence of VPN service in some of those countries means a very bad day for the hapless end user. Having run VPN services worldwide for people in this predicament, I have a good understanding of this (sadly).
Sure we do. In my ancestral home of Pennsylvania, we got a lot of them. Can't buy booze unless you purchase it from the Gov't, Certain stores only sell six packs, others only cases of beer. Our sales tax (VAT to you guys I believe) is convoluted at best - books are taxed, magazines aren't. Soap is taxed, paper towels are not. Etc, etc...
But some laws are pretty universal in the US (with some interpretation of course), mostly to do with criminal acts that harm others. No one is getting off "easy" for rape in one state as opposed to another. Maybe the EU is thinking along the "harming others" category, which disruptive hacking certainly can do.
Mine is by the little magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner - wait, what the hell is the BBC REALLY trying to pull here?!?!? OMG this has to do with the Queen's anniversary I'm sure (digs for tinfoil hat)
Yeah I know:/ - 4th time is a charm? If we got Bruckheimer/Abrams or someone like that team involved it would still suck, but at least have cool special effects:)

Another vote for Little Snitch - definitely in my top five software packages for OSX. Indispensable.

I always started in Egypt due to their accessibility of sea, air and land from there. Only won once though, so maybe I'm doing it wrong....

Into The Matrix
His name was Robert Paulson.
I sent a follow up email to my last potential job's HR department asking "R U going 2 hire me or wat?" - still waiting for them to reply...

You send someone out to get a replacement, of course. Junktown might have one...
Correction - just saw it again. Something weird billowed out of the engines at 0:18 or so
I watched the video first and focused on the plumes. To my untrained eye, I didn't see any sputters or anything from the engine....
Survey says......69!

*Nix AND Mac joke all rolled into one? Someone give this Coward a cigar and positive mods!
Perhaps, but the fight to cure stupidity rages on!
