I would have liked to see what results you would get from running VLC as your media player instead of the ati/nvidia software that may not be included with your card, and unable to download for that matter. Would the results change when using a opensource media player?
Come on Jack you are the bully here, you are all hurt that no one takes you seriosuly so you try and pick on who ever you can... instead of using sticks and sontes you use ad hominums and strawmen...
Nope, Apple product cycles are 3 and 6 month. So maybe November... The bigger problem is the macbook is still 6 months old, it will run for at least a year and expect a speed bump before a new architecture. The Pro on the other hand is ready for an update most likly in November. It may get the Core 2, and I can pretty much bet it will get the better touchpad in all 3 pro models, that the current macbook has.
One Spotlight is not a rip off of windows search it is the natural progression from Sherlock released in os 8.0 in about 1998. Windows search is a less well implemented version of what Sherlock originally did for searching.
And what is up with his trashing of sherlock later as a tech destined for the trashheap...
Windows and disabilty access to the OS... Ok Apple has been much more proactive through the years on this one, with text to speech support since at least OS7.
Overall I see alot of straw man attacks, yes there is a convergent evolution and you can make the point that Mac OSX has taken some ques from Vista, but How many more cues has Windows Vista taken from Mac OS, or how many things has Windows taken over the years? The start button is just a poorly implemented apple menu in os7 (after you could place the hd folder in the menu.)
read between the lines sure Apple took some things, but Microsost has taken more and after using both systems most people prefer the look, feel and use-ability of the MAC OS. For the record I own only PC's at this point.
He totally missed the target the first time he fired... come on really? How will this help my counter-strike? If this cannot make me a better counter-strike player I could care less... geesh....
Could we have had benchmarks under bootcamp and then under parallels? I really think alot of users would like to know how much of a hit we take just to get this. Also can we bootcamp and parallel on the same machine? If so are they the same boot, or are they two separate windows installs?
Dallas was not the first site, it was Chicago. sites that where open in 1995 where
Costa Mesa, CA
Pasadena, ca
Walnut Creek, CA
Sacramento, CA
New York
Dallas
Chicago
San Diego
hmm missing a few costa mesa was site number 13 in the US. There where a few Aussie sites, a few in England, and a bunch in Japan.
Immersive pod based VR gamming in the Battletech universe started aver 10 years ago. They even had international competitions and tournaments on ESPN2.
Don't mess with Tom!!!! Luckily he is my friendslist, so he is my friend right?
Sad thing is I can think of about 3 ways right now to bring myspace down at least from a users standpoint. The openess of css usage they allow, plus there is a great little expliot making the rounds after you clicked on an outsidelink it takes some actions on your account to propagate itself. You could make a nice cascading corrupted CSS plague, forcing all user pages to crash any browser.
This exact piece of research comes out every year and it is just as earth shattering every time. Thank god that they got it out before the middle of the year and I didn't suffer any anxiety from the delay of the release of this important piece of research. Perhaps since this is written medium did you get the sarcasm?
Ok kids we got this, yes this issue spawned emoticons, can we move on to more important things like Gizmodo execs and Enzo's cut in half.
Diet redbull is good, no bad artificail sweetener taste, and you get the caffiene.
When I went on a crash diet and needed to have wings (caffine high)and didn't want to blow out my cash on redbull. I drank Iced coffee with a shot of suger free flavoring, vanilla or hazelnut seemed to work the best, with a little heavy cream or wholemilk.
Windows 2000 is not a consumer OS as I specified, it is a server or enterprise solution. Windows XP took the core of 2000 and brought it to the consumer. Windows 95 was listed as it gave ease of use to consumers to get on the net.
Windows 95 was the first OS to make it easy to get on the net. OK, mac system 7.0 circa 1991 had a full ethernet setup and supported tcp/ip which you could change without having to restart(GASP!!!) It took untill XP for windows not to need to be restarted to change tcp/ip settings. Not to mention that dealing with anything network related everything up to windows ME was frustrating and counter intuitive. Any remembersetting up pppoe on those systems? system 7.0 was 32bit set the benchmark for consumer GUI and set the stage for all mac OS's untill the release of osX in 2001. 10 years and the OS was still running strong from a user standpoint (I know the mem codeing was horrid.)
I am not trying to be a Mac fanboy here but, it took untill at least windows 98 and argueably XP for ease of use consumer networking on windows.

I wonder how fast someone will hack this! Does padding on your rear count?
I really hope this is a joke, at what point has infinium ever done anything credible? They sued hardOCP for doing an unbiased review. At that point HardOCP decided to investigate them more closely and then all the missing offices and shadowy aspects came to light. At no point has infinium done anything that garners respect.
In theory onces this goes to court, that means we can read the deposistions right? All the material and evidence (depositions) would then be a part of the public record right?
It would be great to read what they are actually talking about and see how both sides see this issue, not just what the online press conjectures about everything.
Who uses earthlink anymore anyway...

So we got right click functionality with the track pad now? So I can 2 finger tap on macbooks and 2 of the 3 macbook pro's and get right click?

It is a Cherry G81-3000 or G83-6105 in 110 key trim instead of 104 or 105.
They worked 10 years ago... but in teh long run interest in this type of tech ran out and hence teh crash and people owning 4.0 and 3.0 pods.
A buddy has 6 3.0 pods running at his house. The Tesla pods are 4.0 pods.
Why lose the sereph font in the body? looks good and sets you guys apart pleaes keep it.

Not much you could buy an off the shelf water cool kit that could do this between 100 and 200. Although I would not use one much under 200.

You know I used the Verizon day pass and this is the only article I got to preview... I sense something bigger going on...
lol
The are using a spectrometer to observe the radiation lines to determine the heat, much the same way we can tell the heat of far away stars.
