There will be competition for combat and non-combat robots
Does it disturb anyone how much effort is put into building robots designed for distruction? I mean I understand building robots that solve puzzles, and robots that overcome obstacles, but the idea of designing robots primarily for violence kind of bothers me.
Maybe this is a little off topic, but it's an interesting thing to think about.
man I wish that wasn't the first thing people thought of when they had a good idea. How about instead of "I should have patented it, you say, I should have produced it. It annoys me so much the way people think "patent camp" is a perfectly acceptable practice justified under capitalism.
Patents stunt progress, it's too bad people are often more interested in their own wellfare than that of others. This applies both to those who patent things, and those who steal ideas and take the credit.
It's important to think about why you hired her. Was it because she's really good at secretarial work? or was it because she's your girlfriend and she'd love to help out. It may not seem like it makes a big difference, but if you hired her because of your relationship, you are effectively extending your relationship boundries into the workplace. If you see her job as a perk of being together it may also cause you to devalue her position when you have a fight.
I'm not saying you shouldn't hire her, but just make sure she is loyal to you and your company. And like others have said, a ring would be a good idea. If you want business commitment from her you probably need to promise her a future as well.
There are probably a lot of business that ignore the holding laws to make a fast buck. But EB, it seems to me, has been growing more and more crooked over the years.
I mean they still sell dreamcast games for 20 bucks!

FunHI - yet another reason capitalism should come with a warning
"[I] believe that the system's cultural influence as a social entertainment brand has only just begun."

You mean threatening people into agreeing with your absurd ideals isn't a successful business model?
