His comment is not "You're in the 100th percentile so you should pay 100% of your income as taxes," and to construe it as such is misleading. He was saying that if YOUR BRACKET controls 10% of the money then YOUR BRACKET should pay 10% of the taxes.
The point of taxes, despite what Repbublicans want you to think, is not to let the government spend it on the same things you would (tuition in your example), it is to let the government spend it on things for the greater good. What the greater good is is up for debate but don't pretend that if you pay 5000$ in taxes you should get 5000$ of direct benefit.
Further, those higher up the income bracket SHOULD pay a higher rate of taxes. This is a progressive, civilized concept, and if noblesse oblige weren't dead this wouldn't be debated. It's called "helping your fellow Americans, especially those worse off than you." However, as it is this is the opposite of what happens, with those less able to afford it paying MORE of the burden. Stop complaining.
Except whoever wrote it either didn't watch the original enough or is very sexist since after Leia said they were certainly being tracked Han went "Not this ship, sister." The blame lands at his feet, not hers.
Republicans should agree with this viewpoint too, seeing as how they consider the Santa Clara County v. the Southern Pacific Railroad decision to be the "law of the land" and all.
But there are a lot MORE SUVs than there were vans. And what, did you think people's complaints about SUVs would only be temporary? They're as valid as they ever were and will continue.
There WERE no massive complaints about inappropriate content, at least none that deserve to be called such. The PTC organized mass form complaints to the FCC to provide the illusion of massive complaints. Yes, PARENTS should control what is on the TVs in their houses, not what is broadcast.
Even hybrids that only accept gasoline are true hybrids because they have two kinds of engines (actually an engine and a motor). Hybrid refers to that, not fuel type.
... and this one still has it. However, if your desktop lacks the bandwidth to fill it quickly you can still do it overnight, and chances are you only need to do that once. You're not LOSING anything, only gaining the ability to do it slowly if that's what you need.
There is a sum total of revenue necessary to cover the costs of content production and content delivery. Advertising is used to offset this cost; subscription fees cover the rest. Do you boycott magazines because they charge and have ads inside? What about newspapers? The fact that an industry gets revenue from advertising doesn't mean that advertising covers all the costs. Why do you believe that any advertising must completely support the service?
This also totally ignores that the cable company doesn't actually get any money for the ads shown.
No one has the right to say that anyone else has a moral obligation to open-source their work. True. However, when you use someones ELSE'S hard work to make your own that person does get to say what you are obligated to do. If you don't like it you shouldn't be modifying GPL software for your product. The only companies complaining that the GPL is viral are doing so because it prevents them from embracing and extending others' work.
See a nutritionist. She won't just tell you to eat salads. I know, my girlfriend is one, and since taking her advice I feel MUCH better. However, im eating chicken, fries, rice, pasta, burritos, eggs, and everything else I like (also some veggies). It's all about eating the correct amounts at the correct times. Try it.
Um, your phone has nothing to do with whether you get the time and date of a voicemail. That is entirely dependent on your service provider, in your case AT&T.
I'm with you guys; I like a silent keyboard with definite feel when a key has been pressed but not a huge effort. I truly want to tell all the people here who say they need a Model M to know when a key has been pressed that I'm sorry they have almost no sensation left in their fingers. Anyway, down with the Model M!
...uh, I'm not sure on the exact dates of all of those, but F1 goes back to the beginning of the last century, then between the World Wars it took some time off before coming back in the early fifties and running continuously through the present. In other worse, before most modern automobile advances were made.
I saw that Bullshit episode and turned it off partway through. I was sickened. No one seriouely contests that smoking is bad for the smoker. How is it, then that the same smoke that is bad for the smoker is safe for the people around him? It may be in lower concentrations, but that doesn't change its chemical properties, and further, smaller doses can still cause a LOT of damage to children, especially if their parents smoke around them every day.
And as for "go somewhere else if it's a problem" how would you feel if I walked around spitting randomly and told you to go elsewhere if you didn't want my spit on your clothing?

The existence of a premium does not mean that premium is sufficient. Increased running costs should not be linear with vehicle weight.
... and that public should pay a premium for an 8500lb SUV to ensure they are used much less for hauling one person to work every day.
Going to bed at 9 or 10 doesn't mean you magically get to sleep then. It's not easy for a LOT of people to change their natural diurnal cycle.

Got any more details on that incident?

Yes, because if it can't run HDTV while sitting in my palm it's useless.
Bitter that Sony hype killed the superior Dreamcastm, yes...
If you don't turn the key to start you don't wear the starter. Period.

Hmm. Does that mean there needs to be a chip called the Radeon? Oh wait...

That's why he qualified it as "the only driver RACING," not just "the only driver."
Talk about Alphanumeric Soup...
Alphanumeric soup is the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 8 MR 400 FQ. I swear, them and Subaru need to stop appending new special editions on their cars.

Why would they care about being endearing to someone who isn't viewing their ads?
