My full name is not on there, my birthday is faked, and I have no other info of worth on there. I don't upload pictures and updates are very few. I occasionally comment on friends updates.
It does depend on the situation. I'm not going to give my employer the heads up that I'm looking, because they'll likely kick me out the door the same day (unwise on their part, but it has been the way they've done this kind of thing.) And, while there are jobs out there, the job market is not that great for job seekers (there are more of them at the moment than there are jobs.)
In any case, I want to have a backup plan before I jump ship, or indicate that I'm standing at the edge.
Modern Judaism maybe, but not at its roots. The Jews were first Israelites, or sons and daughters of father Judah, who was the son of Jacob (Israel), who was the son of Isaac, who was the son of Abram (Abraham). Their family was "God the Father"-centric with an eye towards a Savior. From the family grew the religion and the laws (Moses). The Jews were given the right to enact laws. Joseph's "tribe" was given the right to the priesthood. And, later, the sons of Levi were given the rights to sacred performances. (Please forgive if I've messed that up somehow.) However, as the other tribes lost their way and were scattered, the Jews remained behind and kept the "kingdom" (which was both religious and political).
And, as a counter-example, I've never heard of Kijiji and I doubt my family has either. To give some background, I knew about Craigslist long before my family started using it, I'm the geek of the family.
Lest we forget the Canadians did have to battle for their freedom, their desire to remain British loyalists. Britain, realizing they couldn't control the area, after awhile (and, apparently, with rebellion according to parent), let Canada declare their sovereignty. However, Canada's money still bear homage to the Queen.
Are you stating that the world is *not* better off without Saddam's Iraq? I'm sure the tortured Iraqis would say that, at least, Iraq is better off.
In any case, Tea Parties are against raising taxes and placing unnecessary burdens on the people. It has nothing to do with war efforts. To state that the Tea Parties are composed of those who agreed with the war in Afghanistan and (the) Iraq is to sell the Tea Party attendants short. There are many at these gatherings from all types of backgrounds.
To the point of the Tea Parties, look at California, very large debt and they keep *raising* taxes! When you bleed the people, no one will have anything to give and they'll all be sucking off the funding from social programs that are bleeding money and causing more debt. The people didn't like it when (bu-bu-but) Bush gave out cash like it grew on trees and they don't like it now.
It is this type of idea the Tea Parties are trying to prevent from happening on a national level against an administration and representatives that have, for the most part, failed to listen to their constituents. 2010 cannot get here fast enough. There is a hope that the country hasn't become a joke and a cesspool of rampant inflation by 2012. It already is a laughingstock to its enemies and a major cause of concern to its supposed friends.
Seriously... have you ever worked on a monitor, computer, or other equipment owned and operated by a chain smoker? I have and the stench, tar, and other crap inside of the case was horrendous. The tar alone would make the warranty void. In some cases, no amount of cleaning we did at the monitor repair facility would remove the stench and these things got new bezels, cases, some fresh parts, and complete painting.
However, I think if Apple should be explicit about what the warranty does and does not cover. Such as: Warranty does not cover biohazards and sticky external substances on the equipment causing said equipment to fail.
While I disagree that this is an idiotic and wasteful idea, I will agree that it is inefficient. It is not idiotic, because it gives us a baseline of what content to expect. It's not wasteful, because some of us use these ratings. It is inefficient because it makes the more hardcore games seem more appealing and some parents just don't care and will let their kids play anything. And when they find out their little precious boy is severely depressed, grades have dropped, and has no social life they are *shocked*!
Be it known, I am not saying that playing violent games will lead to this, but it can be a side effect of playing violent games too much.
Yes, but what about the previous 35+ years? This puts the blame squarely on the local and state government. At least with the Administration, they knew where the money was going to in Iraq. With New Orleans, we're not sure which person's freezer the bags of cash would wind up.
If bit.ly is the largest, I wonder why I haven't heard of it. Granted, once you find one, then it's golden. But I've never seen a bit.ly shortener. I've sone loads of tinyurl.com hashes, but never any bit.ly.
I was with you to the end when you started insulting everyone. That just killed your argument, despite the well written and obviously researched rebuttal.
The only thing I would ad is that the term given to liberals and conservatives in today's United States of America have varied since the early days of the country, even as recent as 40 years ago it has changed much.
"Policemen and laws can never replace customs, traditions and moral values as a means for regulating human behavior. At best, the police and criminal justice system are the last desperate line of defense for a civilized society. Our increased reliance on laws to regulate behavior is a measure of how uncivilized we’ve become." -Walter Williams, “Laws Are a Poor Substitute for Common Decency, Moral Values,” Deseret News, Apr. 29, 2009, A15
My solution to malware: throw combofix at it
My solution to reinstalls: Do it once, then use Partimage Is Not Ghost to create an image. Then re-image in 10 minutes when needed.
Actually, he's not "totally wrong". And you even state so with the follow-up "just not on the landing page," which is important, because yahoo and other search engines have their landing page chock full of ads. Bing does have a nice landing page... but they had to learn that from Google.
However, you are not "totally wrong" either. Google makes its money from advertisers. And recently, those that advertise with Google are getting top placement on the page (two or three links in a recommended section). Unfortunately for Google, I've trained my eyes to skip around those links and look directly at the snippet of the results of the page. Usually its the 2nd or 4th or the 1st or 3rd link I select from the results section of the search return.
Agreed. I use Comodo as well because their firewall is EXCELLENT. But I would like some independent reviews of its AV product. It hadn't been released when I did an AV review for one of my school projects... and I really don't want to go through that trial basis again.... But perhaps I will have to do that at some point.
Interesting that his first point is electricity. The same electricity, that when interfered with by the California government cause the power companies to nearly up and walk out and now cause rolling blackouts. How's that working for ya?
You are correct, they aren't enslaved, they can quit at any time. Well... crap, what happens when we have all this insurance, but the health providers no longer do any work, because they can't lose money and provide a service at the same time. Extreme situation, yes, but that's why there is rationing in the british healthcare system and it takes 6 months to get service in Canada.

Lulu Introduces DRM
·
· Score: 3, Insightful
Free market in this case. The company is trying to appeal to the largest number of people at a time. If they can support Creative Commons *and* DRM users... then good for them. I'd suspect that the raising of Lulu's take would be more upsetting. (Again free market will bear out if that was a smart move or not.)
Dell's business computers can be ordered plain vanilla or without the OS loaded, if you wish. I always recommend their business line, whether the person asking is a business or home user.

Anime game or movie playable only on Linux with an LCARS themed desktop?

This is frighteningly close to making me think about automata. I didn't like that class too much.
Samoa? That's surprising. I'm sure the Samoans would be willing to work out any kind of deal. Same with Vietnam, and a few others on that list.
Your statement reminded me of this quote.

Yeah, tell that to my brother who's had his Mac crash on him 8 times a day. He facebooked the issue from a PC.

Yes, I do monitor my own habits and patterns.
For those that know their Bible, did you happen to read that as NP begat FNP who begat TFNP , and TFNP begat PPAD ...
And the same sentiment applies for AT&T (which is why I only have a voice and limited text plan - 50msg/month).
