but what about rookies like me who NEED a dumbed down version? I see it as a good way to get into linux, now if only it would work with my soundcard...
usually people here are of average to above average intelligence, so some of you must have (in your younger days) gotten A+'s on your papers, eh? Did the teacher happen to use a red pen, and did your paper happen to be white?
I'm going to have to disagree with a couple of points - the first being that the series isn't even related to itsself, how could they possibly make a movie related to it? And in the series I wouldn't say Trevor is "bad", he's still the antagonist but he is only doing what he thinks is right.
Though Aeons greased up hair in the movie - I'm not too fond of it.
well i bought mine for size. I have a GBA (orig) GBA-SP, DS, and PSP and NONE of them are reasonably fittable in my pocket! they all take up the whole darn thing! Now i can fit my cellphone and wallet in the same pocket as my gba.
though im suprised they didnt make a clear faceplate, so you could draw something of your own and put it in
jeez am i the only one who loved that movie for is stunning action choriography? though i whole heartedly agree the story sucks:-P (but its an action movie all the way)
i dont know, im a pretty avid firefox user, i had tried mozilla at one point but it's just not as good on a slow PC. while somewhere i read FF is slower than IE, the opposite was true because this is kind of a family computer ("hey lets open this attatchment from spambot@lol.com")
Still, i bought a new computer and first thing installed was firefox, and in the 2 months i've had it i only have 1 extension (plugin) and that's adblock, which is pretty much a godsend.
i saw this one movie once, a NON pornographic movie, br in the future men have been altered genetically to be less violent, this whole thing went well for a long while, but then the men started to become infertile,
to get a pure male the women would have to have a child the natural way, minus all the sciency procedures, unfortunately what is assumed to be the last possible one had failed.
so a few women go back to the past (which is still our future) to find some unaltered men to fornicate with, and boy do they!
but woe is them, as the space station they are looking for men on comes under attack by some space pirates
kinda gets hazy after that, my parents came home and thats hardly the smut they would want to see
2.) This controller will have to play most of Nintendo's library of games, so it's unlikely that the physical resemblance of this controller will be that different from previous incarnations. (i.e. screw the rumor that it's only a helmet.)
the revolution has gamecube ports for the gamecube controller, which to the best of my knowledge can play any game back to the NES
thats assuming a nintendo neophyte will have a revolution, but will not have a gamecube controller to play zelda:a link to the past on, but will just shell out a little more cash to play it
i've also had similar situations, the school wiped emulators and roms and all (most) games from our personal network drives (150mb per person) and then our computer science teacher let us know they planned on In School Suspension for those with games, an expulsion for those with ROMs (i own the carts, i swear)
long story short, schools make money off of kids being there, if you are not there, they lose X dollars, removing such a large amount of kids would not only be unprofitable for the school (its a business, remember?) you would have computer teacher with no students, no need to show up (we ALL had them) who doubled as the tech guy for the entire campus.
of course, i got wise and did what these kids should have in the first place, burned doom/quake/anythingelse to a cd and ran it from there

i must comment that a 60day trial of office is being bundled with most modern Compaqs
is it just me, or is everyone spelling curses with numbers today?
fourty-two!
oops..wrong brit

I am not fond of its' interface at all, it tries to look 'sleek and future' but fails. I mean, for crying out loud I can't even find the file menu!
thank god someone has sense around slashdot!
well, I installed it today on my site, I'm going to have to say it's a rock-solid release.
How on Earth could you forget Neal Stephenson!?

Land Down Under (LDU) has always suited my needs for personal blog sites, it's easy to set up, even has a blog edition!
What about hackers? I mean it doesn't take an idiot to download a program off of the internet that lets them crack your doors encryption
Besides, what kind of future door doesn't sigh.
might be, ask google

i could have swore amazon had a patent on this, somewhere from a previous slashdot article.

annoying? or good marketing
well it's not like rumor control seldom carries an article on the revolution controller..
you know, just every week
but i'd love to get my hands on nintencats
i assume DS-Linux and PSP linux were not present?
i didn't read it, so sue me.
are they at least Turing Machines?

Not to mention it's easier to watch a movie by yourself at home, if you're antisocial like me.
There is a comic floating around in todays terribly misguided world. Emoboy. Google it, he's not a superhero but it's still funny as hell.
