have they announced the speeds yet? Because intel has some powerful mobile processors that they may throw in, whereas..you wont find a 3ghz apple laptop but then again, more than likely intel will throw in just another slow processor to make it quiet, and cheaper

i find this article to be the most fake thing i've ever read, even though i havn't read it yet

anyone that is still in school knows that you can NOT take away microsoft from teachers, as they are the most un-tech-savvy people around, i once had to instruct a teacher how to read images from a CD, another time a teacher asked me if the monitor had anything to do with the CPU.

but hey, at least the schools 486s play DooM fine

  6. to say the least... on Review: Star Wars Episode III · · Score: 1

im a little dissapointed, not as much with the movie as i am with lucas for making it so.. mundane.

There was story, but how many of us felt it? Between the near-seizure-causing-amoung-of-lightsaber, there were the little tidbits that we didn't even notice, because we already knew.

so, im more upset that there wasnt anything new, just that which has already been covered

  7. they are ok on A Pistol Mouse for Your Fragging Pleasure · · Score: 5, Informative

i myself purchased one of these pistolmouses around christmas for 40 bucks, it is a very neat design, but i caution those with little desk space, as its about 2 inches longer than the standard mouse

it is also a very sensitive mouse, you'll find yourself turning down mouse sensitivity in some games (max payne, most noticibly)

my game performance hasnt increased at all, but there are a few games i just cannot play with it, games that rely on alot of scroll wheel usage

which brings me to the final point, the scroll wheel, if you use firefox (of course you do) chances are you are constantly middle clicking, well doing it horizontally lets you mess up and scroll/click instead at the same time, it gets annoying, but its not a big turn off

    9/10

i whole heartedly agree, i love my music games, and the DS gives such a great way to play them

  11. brilliant on The Nintendo Keynote In Depth · · Score: 3

backwords compatability, break it with the ds, and then fix it with the revolution.

i honestly cannot wait to see what sort of innovation the revolution brings to the table, coming from a nethack/doom/quake player, i can honestly say graphics mean nothing to me, unfortunately i have gracefully admitted some sort of semi-defeat, and pre-ordered a PSP,

i love the DS to pieces, but untill it gets a few more games state-side (and as of yesterday, europe) i cant see any one running to buy them anymore

k, i see no problem with ID badges. my school makes us wear them, if you're caught without one, OCS (on campus suspension) for the rest of the day or 5 bucks for a new one (profits went to the security cameras we just got, thank you), caught passing someone elses off as your own 3 days OCS

i honestly see no problem preparing kids for the real world, name a profession that doesnt require you to wear an ID badge or nametag! i work at a fast food joint in the back and im still forced to wear a nametag.

i am also a strong beleiver in school uniforms (saying alot for a 17 year old)
