    I usually have a problem with people taking as literal truth the text from questionable translations of the original text, but in this case you are right that is what the original says. Plural.

    So would you rather be screwed by a few "pirates" or by the publishing companies? Why aren't you out fighting for a more fair compensation for the game developers? On the other hand 75% or more of the 'warez' are abandoned software that will never be published again so there is nowhere else to get it. It's not saying that folks ripping you off is good in any sense, it's just a question of scale.

    Then you're not being paid hourly but annually. HR people take those 4 weeks into consideration in your salary only you don't see it.

    Isn't unix just dos with the backslashes reversed? Actually the company microsoft is older than Sun. I think it boils down more to what is reported in the popular press. What has the highest profile/visibility? Do you really think PHB's read those textbooks? Actually, they are too busy tring to fix problems with their networks and Windows software to read anything. Technology doesn't kill people, it just makes it easier and less personal.

    Actually there is a standard for triggers and SPs see ISO/IEC 9075 spec ISO/IEC 9075-4:2003 for SPs

    Actually, plagerism is a legal term. Just ask SCO. Although you cannot scientifically prove that someone has committed a crime, you can prove scientifically that the person had the opportunity, motive etc. to commit the crime. In the case of plagerism it is usually a simple case of proving who "published" first and if the "plagerer" has added anything of value. The law is a subjective thing.
