John Dvorak is a talking head for PC Magazine. They're circulation depends entirely on the WinTel market and how interested they are in reading up on the latest Windows tips and compatible products. This is a magazine that at least once a year has an entire issue dedicated to the issue of mal/spyware. They directly profit from Microsoft's market dominance. Of course he is going to come out against supposedly biased coverage of Apple.
"...simply cannot use a Microsoft Windows computer."
But anal sex is good because it works on all genders! So I guess you are saying that Java is good because it works on all platforms. Kinda redundant. Maybe you should think about considering a vocational job in the Department of Redundantcy Department.
Now I guess they will just be using the USA PATRIOT Act to go after copyright infringers. Labeling them as enemy combatants. And sending them to Guantanamo Bay Cuba for secret military trials. And some people thought civil libertarians were just crying wolf.
If they did this, you would buy one, and then never buy another cell phone ever again. They have a vested interest in ensuring that you will eventually need to replace your cell phone. Compare to Microsoft Office, Gillette, and toilet paper.
It is called planned obsolescence. And has been an accept bussiness practice since WWII. Plus it is morally justified by the Bible. Think about it. God created us with planned obslescence. Get used to it because it will out live you. Pun intended.
If I can combine my cell phone, PDA, and MP3 player into one than I would and get rid of the other three. So hell yes this is a competitor to the iPod, traditional cell phone, and PDA.
The HDD Music Smartphone is by far the most interesting of the three leaked models. Besides it running Windows it looks like a promising little device. Almost seems suited as a competitor to the iPod and iTunes. As seen by the 3GB hard drive, name, and online music service (whatever that means). The hard drive and MPEG-4 compatibility would also enable it to be a handheld video player. Very interesting.
So for three years running (and this Halloween?) this guy had millions of hits onto his site.
All the while he was raking in the dough from his Google AdWords banners.
I wonder how much money he has made.
How about terrorists using PayPal to transfer money? The feds don't have the right to monitor those kinds of transactions as it is a private bussiness.
Does it run Linux?
Can anyone say glaring conflict of interest?

I used to see Linux play in basements and living rooms. Now they have gone mainstream. They signed that $35 billion record deal. Damn sellouts.
