Unluckily, if you want to have good 3D accel on linux you are almost forced to use an Nvidia GPU. But luckily there are open spec chipset (es Via), so if you @nvidia think that i will use a binary only module just for the MB, well, this is unthinkable, you are just kidding!
Seriously, how good is the tcc compiler to be used as a default compiler? could it be used as a replacement for gcc (that is so slow)? Does it support debugging information and some optimization?
I tried the windows version, today the linux one, same fps, but i found the linux one somewhat faster and smoother, i can't say why...
But my psychologist told me that i shouldn't care...
I am sure that this would push a lot of people
to migrate to Linux, but i still have to say that when i (and many like me) want to know which files are in a directory i just do "ls" instead
of opening konqueror/nautilus. Of course i think konq/naut are both VERY GOOD, but doing ls is just faster:-)
PS:why are demos on sun site in real/mov format?
this in not really linux friendly, as for instance mplayer can view them only using win32/x86 binaries!!!
The real problem is that sw patents do last too long. If they where lasting 1 year (at most) this would really help innovations, and would still stop other companies to copy ideas within 1 week. But what's up now in US is just to allow someone (Microsft) to live with what they whote 10y ago... , this is a really medievel thing!
I was about to kill my wife!
So this means we soon will have to pay Service Packs too?
Now we just need some project to save C.

Maybe in a place where everyone uses Windows or Mac it gets too difficult to understand how computer really work...
