If you don't know what I'm talking about... http://news.google.com/news?q=jpeg+virus
Anyway, since it's out there now I was doing some reading on Slashdot and found out a little bit of how it works. The article said to check to see if you have been infected by this trojan, look for a director named c:\windows\system32\system\ that has nvsvc.exe and winrun.exe in it. I didn't but how many images do you browse a day? So this one's making me a little nervous. I don't know if this will work but I think it definitely should.
I went to the command prompt and did the following:
cd\windows
cd system32
md system
cd system
copy con > nvsvc.exe
hkjhgkjh Ctrl+C
copy con > winrun.exe
iohgihgo Ctrl+C
attrib *.* +r +s
exit

A lot of commercial exit signs are registered with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and can release a small degree of radiation. One manufacturer is Isolite (IE only, the bastards). For more information http://www.isolite.com/aboutluminousprintable.htm
The Pixies, Bob Marley, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Dizzee Rascal, Isaac Hayes, Moby, Otis Redding, Ray Charles, Willie Nelson... CCR alone is my #1 favorite. These are indeed major bands. Sorry if they don't have your favorite Backstreet Boys song.
I currently run a dual-boot of PC Linux OS P7 and Windows XP. PC Linux OS has proven itself to be my favorite distro I've ever tried. Tex has crammed everything you need onto one Live CD with an easy HD Install option, out-of-the-box NVidia support, and he's never failed to chime in and help me out when I've posted a question on one of the PCLOS forums.
Is there any project for a similiar file system in linux?
If it ever comes out I'm sure our Linux systems will be able to read it. And everyone else should begin complaining that Windows won't read EXT3/XFS/Reiser out of the box.
To prove you're the smartest person in your area code. Since no neighborhoods are listed in mine, that must mean I'm one of the only people who reads/. to come across the site in the first place.
This was the only movie I paid to see and walked out of. So there's these aliens whose eggs look like wild berries so you eat them. They grow in your gut and bowels and once you pass them they kill you and anyone else around.
Personally my hands are too big for a standard keyboard, much less a laptop. I have almost always used a "natural" keyboard. I had a typing class but all that was available were standard keyboards so it didn't do me that much good. I use neither pinkie and only my right thumb. And I only use the left shift key.
Except Carmack said in a recent Doom 3-related interview they're not doing Quake 4 anytime soon.
I've been playing Painkiller to hold me over for Doom 3 and its single-player is just as fun as the multi and I don't have 10 year old kids kicking my ass. Heh heh.
As well as being able to interface as familiarly as Windows, be as easy to work with and configure as Windows, Linux also needs to get to a stage where it will run all Windows programs easily. When that's the case, MANY will make the switch. How many out there hang on to Windows because Linux doesn't work with their printer or TV card? How many hang on to Windows because they rely heavily on Eudora Pro, Word, WinAmp, or Trillian? A lot of these things can be made to work, true. But most people, even those with understandings of how to accomplish or how to find out how to accomplish such things) have better things to do with their time.
I just bought a Transcend TV-Box USB for $60 from NewEgg.com I tried various PCI cards and they all froze my system or their software crashed after a couple minutes. I can program to record. That was a big selling point. The kicker was it can record from any coax, RCA, or S-Video input. Very happy with it. Afforable initial purchase and NO monthly fees. Beat that Tivo.
To pay my cable bill online. They don't have the site setup to correctly identify Mozilla. It thinks it's an old version of Netscape. Haven't tried it with Firefox yet, come to think of it... I don't use Composer or Mail and News, so I could definitely make the switch from Mozilla 1.7 to Firefox.
Linux is safer around dumb friends because it's nearly impossible to install anything even if you want to, much less have the convenience of something installing itself.
4. Profit!
If you can't afford to lose it, don't carry it.
And if you fall out of that window and break both your legs, don't come running to me!
Scaredy cat.
Do your homework.

Pre-order before Nov. 10 and you can submit a paragraph to be included on a file on one of the DVDs.
Will it be called README.TXT or FILE_ID.DIZ ?
Doom v1.2 which could be configured for a forward view, a left view, and a right view, and run on 3 monitors for a "virtual reality" feel.
The Havok engine plays better than the Doom 3 engine. Try out the Painkiller demo if you want proof. That's why I bought HL2.

410 HP is definitely not enough for a 4-second 3000 GT.
Tell me these aren't MAJOR bands?

To make it a 10 they do the manuever with no tail rotor.

But as a rule, if a movie has to be as lousy as Mulholland Drive, it should also be required to have a lesbian love scene.
Genesis couldn't touch the Mode 7 effects either.

He was killed by a minivan, not some big lifted truck. You're way off topic. Minivans share bumper height with most cars.

I just want to know why the stupid article is mixing US and Metric measurements.
