    While it is a shortcoming of the education system, it's not because of money. We spend more than ever per student. The problem is government schools.

    I ended up pulling my SB Pro out to read the jumpers so I could run the config tool properly. The 33.6k modem was the real challenge. And that was after I upgraded from my US Robotics WinModem.

    It's amazing how easy we have it these days.

    The ForTwo was never a good purchase. It was more expensive than the Civic/Corolla, had no better mileage, and had far less room.

    If you'd ever driven a truck, you'd understand backing into a spot. Turning radius and wheelbase make it a much better idea to back towards things that are stationary, like other parked cars. Then, when you pull out, you have better visibility and can usually just pull straight out.

    Use Y or Z modem. Xmodem didn't have file resume capabilities. I can't believe I remember that.

    ES File Explorer can browse your local network. Add the ES Chromecast plugin and you are able to stream many media formats with it. There are audio issues with certain formats, but I imagine that will be addressed at some point.

    The better solution is simply to install the Plex server on your computer and drop $5 on the app for your tablet. Create a free Plex account, install the app on your phone, and you can access all of your media with a clean, professional interface anywhere you can get online.

    In the early 2000s, the federal government gave tax breaks to the then-leading communications giants to install an open high-speed data infrastructure throughout the country. The amount of taxes they didn't collect averaged $2,000 per household. Shortly after that, the companies began sales and mergers. TechDirt.com published an article detailing this scam as recently as 2013.

    This will lead to a lack of internships; a lack of a way to gain experience before you begin marketing yourself as someone with skill in a given field. For many companies, if they have to pay interns, they simply won't create such positions.
