Well, I'm at the top of the bottom 25th, and I'm technically in the "Junior" version of this position. So it's not too far off for me. Of course, I don't have a zip-code up here in Canadia...
Grandma: [singing] How many roads must a man walk down before you can
call him a man?
Homer: Seven!
Lisa: No, Dad, it's a rhetorical question.
Homer: Rhetorical, eh? Eight!
Lisa: Dad, do you even know what "rhetorical" means?
Homer: [incredulous] Do I know what "rhetorical" means?!
The way I see it, with the amount of time it took to complain to the network about the commercial, the parents could have easily talked to their children and made sure they understood not to copy it.
It'd be interesting to hear that conversation...
Mom: You know you aren't supposed to cruise around and pick up girls, right?
Son: Uhh... what?
I myself spend between $100-$225 (a new games costs $69.99 CND for the ps2 on avg) CND a mo for games. I'm not sure what a casual gamer will spend.
I typically spend between $0 and $40/month for games, depending on whether or not I feel like picking one up. I typically stick with tried-and-true games for older systems. I'm working on PS2 right now.
What are the chances that Norton Internet Security will uninstall itself gracefully via the Add/Remove Programs control panel? (I certainly plan to set a System Restore checkpoint before trying it!)
I've uninstalled it a couple times from fresh systems, and it's always worked fine. I've only tried removing it from an old system once, and that didn't work out too well.
As most of the time DOS attacks are performed from outside the country, and therefor outside its juridiction, I doubt they'll even invoke it in court.
Actually, DoS attacks are more commonly performed from within the country, because who in Canada, for instance, would bother DoS'ing a Swedish company? Nobody would care.
The problem, however, is that the bots the local attacker uses are typically outside the country, which makes it impossible to track down the attack.
This Missing Manual uses every bit of 827 pages (including index) to provide similar descriptive and informational material as the built-in Vista sources [....]
The index provides "descriptive and informational material"? Sounds like an odd kind of index to me...
For what it's worth, from Zalewski's original post,
Firefox sometimes creates outright deterministic temporary filenames in system-wide temporary directory when opening files with external applications
And according to him, calculating the seed isn't terribly difficult. srand() is called directly before the random file creation and is seeded with the current time, in milliseconds. That time is possible to obtain within a narrow margin using JavaScript.
I love how "login with your account" is a suggested fix for "module not found." I logged in with a trusted bugmenot login, and go figure it still couldn't find the module!
Haha, I just read that when I went to look up the name of Sha Ka Ree. Turns out, you were way ahead of me :(
Don't forget about Sha Ka Ree. It's at the centre of our galaxy and the crew of the Enterprise seemed all right...

Actually, they have. This blurb discusses it.
I just moved to Calgary this year, and I'm rather glad I don't have to drive on the highways here. Especially in this icy weather..
I actually had the same problem in GTA: San Andreas. I always had trouble finding the casinos' exits. And I wasn't even there to gamble!

To be picky, an alliteration is the repetition of the initial consonant sound, so that's those examples aren't completely valid.
Hmm, backslashdot.. interesting concept!

Of course, it depends how casual you're looking.

I'm pretty sure that the case of installing a driver is one of those places that you want your OS to prompt you.

Hey, trolls are people too, you know!
s/s\/anti-Americanism\/Communism\/s\/anti-American ism\/Terrorism/
Of course, If you had just started with s/anti-Americanism/Terrorism/ I wouldn't have had to replace your regex with a regex.
Useless comment, but it has to be said: CMOT Dibbler rocks!!

I copied it into vi :)
So uhh... Wanna get high?
Will there be a prize awarded for the first editor who posts a back-to-back dupe?
Typically, people don't close the bracket used as an emoticon mouth. :P
