    Printers and copiers will magically clear their own jams. Corrupted and damaged files will never happen.

    Actually, a lot of these imply people closer to the coal face. I can see the big centralized IT departments getting smaller and organizations moving to a decentralized IT staff. That could be interesting.

    It's a sexy science with lots of money so there are lots of theories to be tested. We've still got plenty of junk science to fund. We still need a dozen studies on how oil and coal are good for us plus studies to show that CO2 is good for plants.

    I've never seen an Intel branded machine. I remember the crappy "Intel Inside" stickers, but I haven't seen a specific Intel machine. Wouldn't it piss off the OEMs? OK, I guess the Classmate PC is it.

    Shadowrun got poor treatment from MS, but a decent RPG (with single player) would be great. I would have liked them to do something with Crimson Skies. The only FASA game they seemed interested in was BattleTech and the only BT game that interests me is Megamek.

    That EXE contains ADM files / Group Policy templates. It's perfect if you're running an AD domain but is not much use for individual users. Those people can get whoever does their support now to use method 2.

    'Mind bogglingly complex' indicates the submitter can't be trusted with a box of crayons.

    That already happened with Word '97. Big companies changed and everyone else had to follow. Microsoft caught a lot of heat and stopped making major format changes on every version. This patch blocks stuff from before '97, so I don't think there are too many people swapping documents around that will be affected. It will screw people who are digging out old copies of documents though.

    Given that they are trying to push new formats with 2007, I can see the upgrade treadmill being driven from there. docx, anyone?

    There's already an ADM file for group policy in the linked KB article. If you're using group policy, it's a five minute job for the whole domain.

    The IR sensor in the Wiimote can be affected by bright lights or sun. What was the lighting like when you test it? We usually close the curtains behind us and everything works fine.

    Our federal government actually. :) The only place that can sell X rated material is the Australian Capitol Territory. (And if you go one suburb over, you can get fire-works too.) Actually, that may have changed, it's not like I've been monitoring the situation.

    Yes, American friends, it's like Washington, D.C. being the porn capitol of America. Actually, that might be a good thing, some of your politicians look like they need some relief.
