There are dozens of new emotes being released with WotLk (possibly as early as 3.0 - I need to go test that on PTR)
There was discussion that new dances would be learned as rep and/or quest rewards, I expect there to be plenty of neat things that have been lost in the big stuff about new classes/professions/zones/level which will come out when WotLK is released.
I see your lab and raise you public transport in the summer.
Or even working for a sales organisation where some of the sales guys are just a little too fond of aftershave - I can smell them across the building some days. Bleah.
I suppose it is also a question of what perentage of the people who bought Glider are players who only wanted to skip some of the levelling/grinding component of the game to get to the 'end game' faster, and what percentage were people who were farming to sell in game assets for real world cash?
Gold farmers have been a real problem in game and caused significant inflation in the in-game economy, making it more attractive to new players to use a tool like Glider or a levelling service to get a leg up.
I have a business requirement to take photographs of potential fitout locations for service centres, it is part of the site documentation and allows simplified communication between team members both internal and external to the company regarding potential issues.
I have lobbied for some time to get a company camera to take these photos, unsuccessfully to date.
I currently use my personal camera, download the images at home and bring them into work on a USB stick as I can't get the drivers to work consistently on my work laptop.
The favourite prank in one of the workshops I worked in at one point was to change each other's custom start up sounds. The best one was when someone loaded 15 minutes of silence onto one of the guys admin machines. Until it finished playing the sound it wouldn't complete booting, and you couldn't interupt it other than to switch the machine off. Until you work out that you needed to start with extensions off (and therefore disabling custom sounds) you will continue to get the same 'error' every time you boot.
There used to be an anti-virus program for MacOS 6.x/7.x called Disinfectant. IT was published by Berkley or a similar university. About the same time as Word Macro Viruses first became common there was a version of Disinfectant which id entified MS Word as a virus and asked for permission to remove it.
Sitting listening to some idiot talk about something you already know is a valuable life skill that will stand you in good stead throughout your working life.
My sister used to teach at a well known private school in Melbourne (Australia). Her first semester there she had a number of the reports she wrote returned for rewriting. One in particular was bounced twice with the comment that you can't call a student's performance on a test as "disastrous". Her response was "What would you call 3%?"
Have you ever heard of the concept of reinsurance?
It's kinda like the way a bookie lays off his bets - insurance companies take out insurance with other companies to cover a proportion of their risk. The chances are AIG was heavily reinsured with quite a few other large insurance companies. They probably also had accepted reinsurance from a number of other large and small insurance comapnies.
What an insurer of that size fails it can cause damage well beyond their direct customer base.
I love both Adams and Pratchett and will mourne when Terry stop writing in much the same way I mourned the loss of DNA's unique voice.
It would be a crime to ask Terry to write in the HHGTTG universe when he has so many stories left in his own universe to finish in what seems to be limited time.
Leave DNA's universe as it stands, it may be incomplete, but it's what is there. Let good writers continue to write in their own worlds and keep the hacks away. Everyone will be happier with the results.
It's an excellent example of Britsh farce - the snowballing escalation from slightly wrong into absurd.
The American's seem to not get farce, it's too slow to arrive, they prefer a pie to the face - an immediate payoff. And sadly, that was what was off about the movie script.
That said, I watched it recently and enjoyed it, just not as much as the other versions. It had it's moments.
Entangling roots not do damage - sure. Given it's the only CC in the game that has a chance to break itself (it breaks on damage), I"d accept that trade.
How about you make it so that people can't attack from Entangling Roots while you're about it.
Strongly considering taking the 14th off work, 1. it's a Friday, 2. it isn't released until the 14th in Aust - probably a midnight launch again where my order is held.
Confirming my CE copy today (fingers crossed). EB Australia won't take pre-orders for the Ce until it's officially announced but will convert the first X# of pre-orders to CEs. My preorders are now 1 year and 1 week old.:)
My main character has currently collected 62 out of 75 available[1] vanity pets in WoW - she will get probably another 5 when 3.0 goes live (bag space constraints).
[1] - I haven't yet obtained any pets which require real work money to acquire.

Look up the details for the planned Lake Wintergrass zone in WotLK.
Unless you happen to be a chronic motion-sickness sufferer.

The camera thing:

Ironicaly I work for the camera manufacturer.
"And what if the government makes travel a crime?"
Strangely ironic if they did - given the country was founded on forced transportation of criminals.
Just saying.
This is coming from a 7th generation Austrailan. ;P

The service guides actually had a listing of potenial bad tones for diagnostic purposes.
It alsways sounded more like breaking glass to me.

Remove gown.
Put gown on hook.
Put towel across drain.
Put satchel across hatch.
Put mail on satchel.
Press dispenser button.
Sadly, that's from memory, it's years since I last played HHGTTG.

So, if there was no rain - how did crops grow? Or any plants for that matter where there was no irrigation?
Was it the first mention of rain? Rain requires clouds to form.
I'm going to regret wading into to this I suspect.

Fixed that for you
Moonkin - the most fun you can have with your pants on.

Civillisation IV

Civilisation (I) + ResEdit = Win once upon a time on a Mac LCII. :) Good Times.
Civ II came with it's own cheat menu for when you felt like messing around.
Skipped Civ III
Trying to decide if I can afford the time sink to go buy Civ IV.
