You are obviously not te target market for this product - the whole point of Diablo is to mindless slay everythign in sight then go looking for more...
When I was hacked last year they restored everything except my key to Scholo (returned subsequently) and my Praerie Chicken (whatever). If you have a bank alt under level 10 you will need to specifically ask to have it restored, they do not restore items/cash to character below level 10 by default.
I was running character viewer at hte time so was able to upload my profile to a website to get an accurate picture of what I had at the time of the account hack down to the last copper. Because the profile is stored locally - it was not updated when the account was logged in by another person, and I was told by my husband that I was online (when I most obviously wasn't) so was able to copy the saved variable file before I overwrote the local copy when I regained control of the account.
I called the local number bliz have for Australia (it's hard to find on their website - but keep looking, it exists), spoke to a rep and got the password changed and the miscreant booted in real time.
Bizarely the had obviously never stolen a boomkin before because while they stripped me of everything else, they still had my raiding DPS gear and were in the middle of a Shattered Halls run when we regained control. Our best guess - they wanted to try it out.
My account got hacked last year after I downloaded a UI mod from a reputable mod site (worldofwar.ui) that had been hacked.
I had changed my password after I thought I had cleared all remants of the hack from my machine, but unfortaunetly I must have missed something. After I regained control of my accoutn again, I changed the password on a different machine and did a low level format and a complete reinstall on my windows box. I only ever logged in by pasting in my password from a text file from then until I replaced the windows box with a new Mac.
I wouldn't characterise myself as a dumb user, have been a tech support monkey and server admin. Even being careful you get caught out sometimes.
I'm constantly amazed by the assumption that if I had sufficient will power I could change my build (mass) but the accpetance that my height, eye colour, gender and hair colour (as examples) are a result of genetics and biology and out of my control...
All the women in my mother's family are rounded - oddly enough, so am I - I am not surprised by this.
Well then the solution's simple. Give people a license to use a computer. A computer is infintely more complex than a car, yet you need a driver's license for a car.
It'll happen sometime after they make it compulsory to have a license to have children - which lets face it - are several times more complex than either a car or a computer.
While the archival grade media may still be 'readable' in 100 years - they big question is will you have access to a working hardware reader and the software to parse the data?
I had to call help desk yesterday to report a network outage after running an automated update.
The helpful hold message suggested I send an email to report any issues...
While I was pretty certain they already knew about the network outage (turns out they knew - it was a national incident) I had to wonder how many poeple frustrated at being on hold tried the email route...
Having looked at the WotLK alpha leaks I'm already worrying where I am going to find another 5-6 keys to bind for my Boomkin. I already use the numberic keypad, mouse binds and function keys.
Now all I need is for them to improve the survivability of my treats... they're hysterical when you let them loose in the midst of multiple packs of mobs.
Bizzarely - I don't need to show ID to purchase or board a pre-booked flight, but if I want to change my flight at the airport THEN I need to show ID.
The last time I flew home via Virgin and asked to change my flight, I was asked for ID even when I ended up checking in for my already booked flight - screw them charging $90 to fly home 30 minsutes earlier.
My husband is from the same era of D&D gaming as you are claiming for yourself and he loves what he is seeing in the 4e materials (except that the online component is windows onlie - looks like we'll have to load bootcamp).
You might want to wait for the hype to die down and make your own decision on whether it will be worthwhile or not.
In our last D&D campaign, my druid character would show up in town in animal form, following the rest of the party like a familiar or pet, because she didn't 'get' human intereaction, and is was easier than dealing with all those strangers.
I have Treasures I & II and an original Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy floppy for Mac sitting around in my study. I used to migrate the game files everytime I upgraded computer, I'd edited the client to give me a larger game screen than the 160 x 240 it started with.
I agree except for the occasional content blockers in the content - take Vashj for example, she's considered a 100 wipe boss. Kinda like Razorgore was in BWL.
Before the attunement requirements for MH and BT were lifted, there were plenty of guilds stuck at SSC 5/6 and TK 3/4 who are now out making progres again. Our guild is one of them. We're now MH 4/5 and BT 4/9 and are heading back into SSC to kick Vashj's butt.
The difficulty isn't a smooth continuum, it peaks and falls. The real benefit of the lifting the attunements is that guilds like our which would probably spent months wiping on Vashj and Kael can now take a look around at some new content from time to time.
Sleep disorder will signifcantly affect your metabolism an lead to probable increases in weight.
My husband went undiagnosed for over 10 years with severe Apenea (to the point of passing out and having seizures - they thought it was epilespy and was treating it as such). He put on over 30kg during that period and is having extreme difficulty shifting it.
One of the causes is any form of sleep deprivation will lead to an increase in cravings for simple carbohydrates for instant energy bursts. The trick is to try and shift the diet to more whole foods - less refined foods - with more complex carbohydrates and protiens.
While I'm not sure that I agree that AC/DC are the best ever Australian band (for what that's worth), but they are the only band I'm aware of with a HillBilly Tribute Band - Hayseed Dixie

Check out the zeropuctuation reviews to experience the true joy a really agreesively bad review can bring...
Each new issue leaves me wondering why he even games, given he seems to hate all types of games and gamers so much ;)

Kinda correct. Kodak (for example) made archival grade CD-R with gold film and high grade dyes which were rated for 100 years dye stability.
They used their history in devloping dyes for photographic films to develop stable optical media.
Mass produced commerical CDs are stamped - like a record. But there are recordable optical media with a shelf life over 'less than a decade'.
This doesn't address the issue of device compatability.
While the archival grade media may still be 'readable' in 100 years - they big question is will you have access to a working hardware reader and the software to parse the data?
In Australia, emergency "exit" signs are white text on a green background. However extinguisher signs are typically white text on a red background.

Roleplaying is what *you* make of it.

Well... it is a Microsoft product, so you get the uncertainty and doubt as a given with a side serve of fear...

In a Sunwell trash PUG the other night we found the quality of loot was directly proportional to the trash talking by the girls on Vent.
Who'da thunk it.

Apparently my nubness know no bounds
Odo was in the DS9 game - Keira uniform in a box somewhere in storage with the latex nose. The Bab5 game was the following year.

Your logic seems flakey.
