  7. Re:Wasn't that the whole point on US Claims Satellite Shoot-Down Success · · Score: 1

Here is my guess about all of this, The test done a couple of decades ago required an F15 to carry the anti-satellite missile aloft. After the last several years of war the Air Force has a worn out fleet of F15's. They are falling out of the sky almost every month, and going through service and inspection type standdowns just as often. The test last night was conducted from a US Navy frigate, of which type the US Navy has dozens of ships. These particular frigates and cruisers will be serviceable for decades. The Military needed a new launch platform, and they just accomplished a live fire, proof of concept test.

"A guy with a brand new Fender Strat doesn't sound like Jimi Hendrix."

But even Jimi didn't sound like Jimi Hendrix until he had learned to play the Fender Strats of his day. Having access to an amazing, new style of guitar made his creative ability shine. With an electric guitar hooked up to a big amp he changed into a rock and roll and blues playing guitar demi-god. He that set standards that have lasted decades. Could he have done that with a different guitar? Maybe not. He might have sounded just fine, playing an accoustic guitar with real emotion... in a small Seattle bar. No Woodstock, no Purple Haze.

    Tools matter.

How many people might write a little better by using a new, more advanced, more creative-friendly writing tool?

People with an agenda and money have passed laws restricting my personal freedom... in order to protect me from this weeks big bad boogieman...

A legal case involving a predator deployed to aid U.S. law enforcement would probably end up before the Supreme Court. (IANAL, I live with one. God help me).
