You have no way of knowing that, so what's the point of saying it? You certainly would look like a fool tomorrow if statistic revealed that a vast majority of the servers compromised were LAMP servers administered by amateurs.
I'm not *sure* about this, but I think that gnome's file dialogs have been incorporated into GTK+ proper. And with that said, what's wrong with the gnome file dialog? They're certainly better thant the old (old old) GTK one...
Well in theory, eventually everything that disney creates should eventually be open for customization by everyone, including a "spoof" as you call it... but that never happens because copyright law keeps getting extended whenever Mickey Mouse is close to expiring again. That has nothing to do with the analogy though.
Why the fuck would they do that? If they started putting legal restrictions on what could be done with their cars then they'd lose the "performance" section of the market to another company with no such restrictions. It isn't like car companies are somehow losing money from having their onboard computers replaced by a higher performance part - or anything replaced for that matter; the customer still had to start with something stock and as far as the car company is concerned a sale is a sale.
Probably because just about everything else has to actually *do* stuff with the data that it is loading?

Not exactly, but close enough.
The file is split into logical chunks, and the hash of each chunk is taken when a torrent file is created. When the client downloads, it checks each chunk, as soon as it finishes, against the hash provided for that chunk in the torrent file. I'm not actually sure what kind of particular hashing algorithm it uses, and I honestly don't care.
And if software isn't closing the ports then what exactly is? Perhaps you don't understand the concept of ports, and how they exist 3 levels above the physical layer?
The point of sniping is that you put your maximum bid into your magical sniping program, which refrains from bidding until the last 30 seconds. It bids the minimum amount, or your maximum, whichever is lower.
I guess you wouldn't be one of those users then would you?

Hahaha, and I thought moderation was bad on slashdot.
Is that on Xbox or something? I have the PC version, and I didn't know that Sam even chewed gum.
LOL!
Hahahah yeah right. Try to make them see it that way.

Splashdamage's Enemy Territory was also a multiplayer-only FPS that was free, and also works on Linux and OSX, just like AA. It is based off RTCW.
It *is* perfectly doable.

Disclaimer: I've never actually tried it, yadda yadda.
Parent mentions that classes are the only thing that make C and C++ different. Parent is wrong. Perhaps he was thinking of Objective-C?
Ahahahahahah. At this rate, pretty much never.
You don't know much about C++, do you?
That's not something that I'm even remotely surprised about on slashdot.

Could someone please explain this joke to me? =/
Thanks. Maybe I don't watch enough TV or something...
Thanks. I feel the same way but I couldn't have explained it nearly as well as you did.

I haven't played Vice City either.
I was going to mod you up but that comma splice just killed your chances. Just letting you know.
