Actually, he's right. If you actually bothered to do research on the process, you'd know that the article is wrong. It's not like it's the first time that the/. editors have posted something without doing fact checking.
If everyone thought like you, where would we be, hmm? I'm going to take the money I got from selling RedHat stock and buy me one of them. It's not like I can't afford one or have a girlfriend to bitch at me for spending the money, and they look really neat.
Has anybody seen the movie "The Day after Tomorrow" yet? Awesome CGI, but it was terrible on the plot and science. Something about global warming causing an ice-age. This must be to quell fears of disaster.
He's right. I'm a developer, and there's nothing that we can say that this chip really offers. As it is, I'm going to wait some time before working with it. It's not uncommon to discover flaws and exploits in a chip architecture in the first few months after it's released. It holds promise, but I'm going to wait and stick with something else for the time being.
I had an idea once, of sharing music on Kazaa whose Titles had been rot 13'd, and protect the title under the DMCA, so the only way they could know if I was offering copyrighted materials would be by violating the DMCA, punishable by blah blah prison blah fines blah castration blah blah.
It's for shitfaced lady and some other nasty offensive things.
So this won't be an entire waste of a post, the NASA stuff isn't surprising--my grandpa worked for NASA way back when, and the attitude was, "If we can get it in the, good. If we can get it in the air and make it stay within budget, they'll give us less money next time." This isn't an environment conducive to good bookkeeping.
You're right, a pro would have faster internet, but the point I was trying to make was that on what most people would consider fast internet right now, the physical limit would make it take over 3 months to fill up the storage with data.
I definately agree with you on that. There's no need for all these extra features on a cell phone. Take the camera for instance: you would be better off with a small portable digital camera, unless you're going to a strip club, and they won't let you take a camera inside. They'd never take away your cell phone.
Another useful (offtopic) thing about strip clubs: give the girls $2 bills; it's dark and they'll mistake them for $20's.
Odds are, someone got a copy of the page before it went down, unless it was being hosted on my connection. You can check out archive.org for the mirror of some websites, or you can click on read more, hit Ctrl+F, type in the word "mirror" and click "Find Next" until you can locate a working copy of the webpage or object. It's not that hard, people.

It doesn't have a grain of truth??? Then explain why I don't have a girlfriend!

I've always wondered if you'd cause a plasma leak if you punctured a hole in your monitor...

You could also try using Mailinator.com to use as a throwaway, although that's not really the intent you had, was it?
If you accidentally release a worm on the world, like Robert Morris did back in 1988, would you be held accountable?

Thank you, I seriously never would have known unless you told me to RTFA.
Not like I need to be rich anyway.
This means they should revert to the old "Blacking out the PDF's" method, because that worked better.

Hey, it could work.
This is a good reminder to check URL's before opening. Mozilla Firefox makes the websites *less* harmful, but not safe.

If you gave me a 100 mbit line, it would take me over 92 days to fill it up with porn. More if I slept.
Sorry if I came off as misogynistic or sexist; I don't get laid often because I'm doing more important things like posting to slashdot.

A very nice gentleman recently contacted me about transferring some funds out of Africa as well.

"The speed of software halves every 18 months."
I just ran Windows update and there's no patch yet. The Redmond boys have yet to address this.
