I was under the impression that no one ever got to see CherryOS binaries, they just saw things in the screenshots from the website that let them know it was copied. But I could be wrong.
Haha, Steve Jobs is talking to the Intel CEO right now saying "Damn it, we weren't going to go with an Intel CPU, but now if I don't go out on stage an anounce that our stock will plummet!"
Do you use a lint-free cloth to clean out your CD tray before you put your CD in? If not then I bet your CDs have scratches too. The funny thing is the only one acting like an asshat (and a baby who needs to wear diapers) is you. Nice Karma BTW.
The processor's that these consoles are using are not similar to the G5s that Apple uses. They are simplified, and as a desktop processor they would perform terribly. And the games will be written to the console specific specs, not the CPU, so this won't affect Apple's games.
I wonder if they might not make the case itself a heatsink for the CPU and GPU. There are lots of computer PSUs that are like this, they have a finned design to help dissipate heat.
I don't know what they've done technically. But the biggest issue is the increased emphasis on Xbox Live. If modding your Xbox means you can't use live it's not going to be a very attractive prospect to most gamers.
Did anyone else notice that the video-out port on the Xbox is blacked out on the pictures on xbox360.com? I would really love to know what kind of connection(s) it will have.

It has an RJ45 plug-in (ethernet) on the back, the wireless adapter (802.11a,b,g) costs extra.
It's looking like the Xbox will be hackable, but no one is actually going to hack thiers. The new Xbox puts a huge emphasis on Xbox Live, which you can't use if you hack the console. So unless someone finds a way to still use Live on a hacked Xbox, I don't think many people will be crazy about disabling half the functionality of the console.
In what way is the PS3 inovative? I haven't heard anything but cell processor this, cell processor that... let me guess, it can finally render toy-story quality graphics right?
As you get closer and closer to photo-realism the size of the leaps gets smaller. Think about the amount of time game developers would have to spend just to take full advantage of the graphics (forgetting about gameplay). It could take years to develop games that fully show off the graphics power of the next-gen consoles. All we saw on MTV were early renders of alpha games. I expect them to look a bit better on release, but still you can only get so realistic.
VGA output is what I'm really hoping for. I don't have an HDTV, so my computer monitor is the only way I'd be able to really get alot out of the Xbox 360.
Yes most cellphones have cameras, but how many people actually use them? The reason people don't use cellphone cameras is the poor quality. Most people would rather carry around a seperate camera, or simply not take a picture at all, than use the one they already have in their phone. I don't see mp3 players being any different. Yes you can put an mp3 player in a cellphone, but then you have to have both a phone interface and an mp3 player interface, or some ugly combination of the two. The perfect cellphone is never going to be the perfect mp3 player also.
While I generally agree (I don't even own a current Gen console, but I do have a PC for HL2, CS:S, FarCry, etc.) what you don't get from a PC is the abillity to buy a game for it 2 years from now and it actually run better on the same hardware than the games that came out when the console was launched.

I've always wondered just how closed sourse can be legal. How can anyone know that a closed source project isn't just copied from someone else?

No tactile feedback? I doubt it. I think it will be more along the lines of the rumors. Gyroscopes, voice recognition, squeezable grips.
There's something going on there... Don't count Nintendo out until after May 19th.
I have a NES, SNES, Nintendo64, Playstation, Genesis, Saturn, and Dreamcast all plugged into my TV at the same time.

The Revolution will have voice recognition, gyroscopic controllers, pressure sensitive grips, and free internet play.

This info comes from a very believable source (see some of his posts here http://ps3.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=482&st
The 20GB hard drive is standard with the Xbox 360.

Release date: Unofficial (rumored) release in November 2005.
;)
Backwards Compatibillity: It sounds like they still don't know themselves, they are working on it.
Price: You probably don't want to know.

I've had a bad experience with iRiver's MP3 players (flash based), and would never buy thier products again. YMMV.
File tree directory structure is a good thing?
Dear god that's awfull writing. You couldn't get a C in 9th grade english with that.

It's bad, but it's still better than the current xbox. And it should be better when they put on the designs. http://www.ourcolony.net/images/logos/37943.jpg
