While I have been looking for such a device for quite some time, I could build one for $50. For $50, the screen needs to have a higher resolution, and be a bit bigger.
You can't really say they are keeping things quiet while things are still in progress. This isn't being swept under the rug, this seems to be pursued in all areas currently. If after everything, there is still no more information, then that is a story.
What ever happened to that? My dad has a Sony tv that he got around when I was born. When I hit about 12 he got a new Sony tv. And it died, and the old one is still ticking.
Well some countries seem hell bent on importing the USA beef against the wishes of their citizens. So it is possible (but not proven) that the same forces preventing small supplies from doing 100% testing will smooth the way for the 1% tested beef to be sold to those countries.
The summary said it is disturbing. According to the Bugzilla report, the performance issue arouse as a result of a necessary patch. I can see how this would be disagreeable... but how is it disturbing?

I don't see the point of an EULA on GPLed software, sorry -- this is at best a a bug.
They they can put that message next to the button to enable that feature.

You do know you can do everything in RedHat/Fedora/Centos from a console, right? That includes the install.
Then the licenses would adapt to this threat.
If you hit up the IRC rooms of most distros (at least Fedora) you should get some fairly good support.
