must suck about now, the amount of rationalization that they must go through, even for those that actually like their PS3 and could afford it - should have bought 1.5 PS2s.
The more I see people the more I tend not to wish to see them. I think i would generally prefer an IRC office than a traditional slaves in the workhouse office.
I kinda got the impression from my reading about the OLPC project and it's drivers that it was a multinational project. So this news is a bit of a surprise to me.
Thanks for that post dude, the poster you replied to had me worrying since I didn't fit his anti-social criteria of a good programmer. Not that I like people, but I can converse on a wide range of topics.
Why are the OLPC people using resources assisting a billion dollar cooperation in a field where that cooperation is supposed to be a specialist? If all the XO technical issues have been solved, then they paste fire the unneeded engineers and save fiscal resources -- or is Microsoft giving money to the OLPC project for this service?
I would guess that the Telcos agreed to this purely for profit in the first place, because, seriously, what is the FBI going to do to a coalition of US cooperations. And noww, they aren't even getting paid.
I would just like to say thank you as I accept this award on behalf of my fellow Python brothers. We all know that God created the universe with Python, but allowed the non believers to think that it was Perl or LISP so that they would not commit seppuku.
I take it that since the rights and free will of the citizenry aren't at stake no one finds it necessary to think of the children, only the profits. But good luck with that, Intel may be a company, but last I checked they actual human beings are the ones making these decisions and going ahead and acting them out. So bravo, another +mark for humanity.
I'm not going to install it myself unless I have to, but I fully accept that almost everyone else is going to have Vista in the next few months. Such is the current way things work.
Those devs deserver their salaries. I would purchase a license for their product for a big project even if it was to be open source.
The summary implies at least that it was under GPL2 before. So what problem did you have with it then?
Didn't even notice that the link was missing, was just about to comment.

Take note that a vast amount of US success is driven by foreigners. Which I find somewhat paradoxical myself.
I'd argue that 'Faith' matters and 'Science' matters, but 'Faith and Science' do not matter. I myself subscribe to both Faith and Science.
with almost no relevance to Slashdot as there isn't even a specific technology in question here.

I guess you haven't used the .NET Framework yet. Some of its output simply doesn't work in Firefox.
it's not the inclusion, it's the fusion

you don't. If you're in the USA, you get deported. If you at a port of entry, you get sent back... at your expense. Or you get deported.
Why am I not allowed to pretend to be someone else? Does the constitution take away that right?
And thus is the apparent flow of civilization. You never see fat children in post-apocalyptic stories do you.
sun is 'common noun' ; sol is 'proper noun'
People have been reporting better memory usage by Qt4 since it came out, independent of KDE4
I'm not a big fan of Visual Studio, but it has done real time error highlighting for a very long time now (relatively long at least).

Even if simply moving on could mean the death of the project?

A week is more than enough time. This is Microsoft we're talking about.
