The problem is some "Christians" have spoiled it for those of us who identify ourselves as Christians while still having a strong aptitude for science. Any misconceptions of Christians as strictly anti-science are really "our" own fault.
Hope the Firefox guys can get to it quickly, but it doesn't sound too serious. In the mean time, people need to practice the whole watching where you browse idea.
Still, LAMP is free, so unless they're going to start giving away Server 2008, they can keep it.
I have to take issue with this statement.
Let us assume a LAMP stack which comes via a support subscription (eg. RHEL). And lets assume variables such as customer support and pricing are equal, I would still go with the LAMP stack. I have experience with both, and I find LAMP to be easier to use yet much more versatile. A Microsoft web stack can definitely get the job done... but I find things easier to accomplish with LAMP -- I definitely don't work with Microsoft stacks without getting paid for it.
Hindering Paraguayan hackers may matter less to the Russian government than establishing greater control over a walled-off Internet.
I don't really have a problem with government's filtering the internet of their own citizens -- let their citizens deal with that. When I don't like it is when a government want to control/monitor the the internet usage of other citizens.
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the goal is to make Silverlight ubiquitous across websites. So Microsoft.com now... Slashdot.org later. But I used to fix Windows machines, how do I visit Microsoft.com from my uninfected Linux box?
I don't understand this behavior. Person/Company Foo repeatedly abuses you (not the poster specifically). But you routinely comeback for more abuse because it "looks good". Its not as if Microsoft has never made something look good, then bash someone into a bloody pulp with it.
Don't know what you've heard, but considering the number of sperm released and the number required to actually fertilize the egg, pregnancy is extremely difficult.
It really couldn't happen because it would violate more than a few international agreements.
So what? Answer me this: In America, who has sovereignty? We the actual citizens, or foreigners?
Well first of all international agreements have less to do with 'foreigners' and more to do with one's own government since they had to agree to it (hence the word agreements).
Secondly, in my experience, in America the cooperations have all the power but allow the citizens to think they have power.
And Americans have very little right to talk about sovereignty since they have little to no respect for the sovereignty of others.
That is how they have been trained for years. Part of the TCO i guess.
well, I read through the comments, would suggest you do the same

All Americans suck because they hate my freedom.
When can I expect my +5 Insightful?

I don't see Visual Studio + .NET as a compelling argument, but I am still curious... what are the other compelling arguments that you know of?

you'd be weird to think otherwise.

I could be wrong, but the vagina is a hostile environment to sperm -- it produces natural spermicides.
However, this as reported before by IGN Wii

Is this different from anyone else?
How's the koolaid today? A bit too much sugar?
Because we know Microsoft's target market loves to run 'regedit'
Interesting troll
They are just out to control us all.
