    Are people just heart broken that Apple locked down the phone so much or what? If you want to support open platforms don't give Apple your money. I don't think it was a secret before the iPhone began sales that it was going to be a closed platform. Just like anything, support what meets your needs/wants.

    I wouldn't buy a PS3 for that game, but I do not consider myself typical by any means - I play Super Mario World, Wii Play Mario Party on my Wii.

    Luckily for me, I only use GMails webmail interface for my mailing lists, which any and all attackers are free to have. My personal account comes via encrypted POP. Thanks to Gmail for that option.

    Is it really freedom if the authorities can simply switch charges against you when their primary charge doesn't work out? Like this terrorisms converted to mail fraud? Or arresting someone for resisting arrest? Keep in mind, that this is what is purposely being exported to the rest of the world.

    This feature is available in FF 2, and is disabled by default, and as has to modes of enablement, only one of which sends data to Google? So now people shouldn't even be allowed to choose to send their data to Google? Does kdawson and iritant not use Firefox and see this feature here for ages now?

    I don't know about you guys, but when multiple pieces of software run slow on Linux, I blame Linux. Maybe that is because there is no OEM in the mix, but it seems fair to blame the operating system for not doing the necessary management to run my apps at a comfortable pace.

    I wouldn't mind. I maybe would downgrade to ME if all the software I need works on it. ME to me is as good as WindowsXP, as in I do not prefer one over the other.

  25. Kinda Ironic on Excel 2007 Multiplication Bug · · Score: 2, Insightful

    I find this bug kinda ironic since one of the big pros attributed to Excel over OO Calc is that it is so useful for data manipulation. Yet, the number which results in the bug isn't ever a particularly big number - well within a practical use case.
