While I'm sure multiple trials of such things help at least in terms of adding to the data pool. But things like this sure do not win them any points in terms of public perception. I'm all for this research for medical benefits, but I'm not looking forward to the inevitable mutant animals.
Unless you stand to make money of Vista, as opposed to no Vista. I really don't see why you care. If you're still using Windows, chances are Windows XP does all you need. If Windows XP doesn't have all you need, now may be a good time to dual boot with Linux, or switch to a Mac.
I've seen Vista in use, and all I can says is "looks like KDE". Of course the reason for this is that many KDE themes have long since copied many aspects of the Aero theme.
All these Vista articles are getting to be annoying, and there seems to be no way to turn them off.
And this I have recently learned. As such, I am looking for a new manufacturer for an upcoming project which requires a good sound card. Any suggestions?
Openly promote hardware companies that have fully functioning PCI, PCMCIA, and USB wifi cards in Linux. I will gladly spend my money with them regardless of wether I'm purchasing the hardware for myself or a friend, or for a Windows machine or a Linux machine. In the same way that HP printers almost always "just work" and Creative sounds almost always "just work", and I seek those brands out... I am willing to, and would do the same for other types of hardware. Of course for now, my purchasing quantities are quite small. But who's to say that they won't grow at some later point.
what is useful about GNUstep? I read throw the Wikipedia article on it, and I got the impression that it is yet another GUI toolkit. So I am curious as to what makes it more useful in which situations: ie. where does it shine?
That there every move should, will, and is being recorded. So that when they grow up, they can each have a GPS chip implanted into their arm and feel perfectly okay with it.
Well in all fairness, some people went to Linux purely on its tech. strong points. I for sure may have never discovered Linux were it not for the extreme suckness of Windows which drove me to look for something better.
I am by no means fond of Microsoft, but darn . . . never would I have guessed that they had ever implemented such a feature. I mean . . . I have been working with the assumption that MS has really smart guys, but the higher ups are just total scumbags. But how could anyone willfully implement such a thing into a publicly consumed product? This for me is a new low.
No offense dude. But that's a dumb qestion. The lawsuit was being headed by the regular corruptable people - Sony, a company very likely full of corrupted people, just passed the infection along. And so they got a small fine. Just enough to say that "something" was done.
This women have been suffering for ages now. And have been killed by all sorts of people before. Why do people suddenly care about them? Society is very wierd. I personally think these women needed help long before one dude started taking them out.
I think people are _really_ going overboard with this entire things now. It's not as if the controllers are launching themselves. As nice/good as it is of Nintendo to replace the straps. This is just settings the bar lower for common sense. If your hand is sweaty, please dry it off for the sake of people around you. I'm curious as to how much tension the straps takes before breaking myself, and also how the replacement straps fair in that metric. But really, the controllers aren't supposed to be flying (or are games somehow requiring this?). Has anyone been able to actually damage the remote itself? It seems as if it is near indistructable.
I can't play any of them on my Linux desktop, some of them seem interesting.

They don't for you?

Because they thought they were, and intended to shoot a real dear.

I don't think it is legally possible to make a 100% windows clone....nevermind that those with the skills to do it would not want to.
Please leave you Geek card and Slashdot access card at the door.

I hope you at least see how wrong that is.
The thing is though, some "IT" people who manage these Exchange servers act as if 50MB is a tech limit instead of just a policy.
You seem to imply that they will lower their prices or something. I don't see why they would. In which case they make larger profits.

You tell the truth. I have considered bagging myself a few IE and Windows devs myself...but the whole killing is a crime thing works against that.

It's called football - you kick it with your foot.

As dangerous as the motorcycle one is, it was really funny to picture.
You greatly overestimate the radiation levels.
So what?
Yes, that was a mistake and miscommunication on my part.
