mine stopped playing adverts too - i heard that it's a bug in the linux client
I run spotify under wine it definitely plays ads from time to time, at least the "Jonathan from spotify" one. There is however a bug in wine or the client that prevents the banner ads in the client from showing.
Scary as that may be, that's how the world works. You can be sued for pretty much anything and while you may not lose if you can afford to fight it, you still have to afford to fight it.
That's not how the world works, it's how the US works.
You can't name a game Doom without causing hype. Hell, even the fact that it is created by id causes hype. Everyone want's to see what they have come up with this time.
Some cars turn on the alarm if you open the door and don't unlock them with the remote control. The alarm doesn't shut off until you start the engine and, as far as I know, the keys electronical chip is verified.
This has happened to me with an ~2000 Volvo V40
A lot of the money is coming from the car manufacturers behind the teams. Although ferrari only has a small logo on their F1-car I can imagine them getting a huge reputation boost from their F1 performace. Toyota is another team created and almost entirely fundeded by their "parent" company.
The car manufacturers can also to some degree benefit from the research done in F1.
There is a good reason why algorithm- and programming theory is the first CS class at most schools/univerities. You have to learn how the computer "thinks" before you can do anything more complicated than "Hello World".
I would say this is especially true for people who hasn't grown up with computers (pre-windows) and learnt that the stupid box doesn't do anything but what you tell it to do.
Am I the only one missing a new iPod touch? Haven't the next gen iTouches previously also been announced at the WWDC keynote?

And don't forget that E=.5mv^2 doesn't apply at near-light velocities.
Soon it will show one hit!

After watching the icehockey world championship this week I am sure there's a demand for them.
I would like to know what I see in the picture before I dedicate my cycles to the project. What are those "bubbles" in the pic for example?
